NCAA 2010 Wish List: Stadium & Uniform Changes/Fixes

The University of Idaho Vandals got new uniforms to begin the 2008 season. Idaho switched from being an Addidas school to being a Nike school in 2008.

I guess what i dont like about the game is how i cant create my own school anymore. I am sure you guys have heard a lot of that. (I am very new to this site) The other things i dont like is that you got rid of all the D1-AA programs. I also dont like how you only have two different jerseys for just about every team. Thats what wat made this game so fun in the past. I dont like the recruiting at all. That needs to be worked upon. You dont have all that post season recruiting you did in the past. I do however like the playbooks. I of course havent got to use all of them but i like how some are unique to the team. Like the Gator formation to Florida..and that crazy south carolina formation. I havent got to do any online gaming yet but when i do i guess i will be able to comment on that stuff.

The Texas Longhorns are supposed to wear white shoes with their white uniforms. It looks whack with white uni's and black shoes.

Also epuipment for wrist accessories you need to add black tape, and team color tape for the ps3 just like on the ps2. Instead of havin the white nike's with black, they should have the team color replacing the black (ex. Florida's nike's are white and orange)

And being able to choose whether you would like to wear white shoes or black shoes. I've noticed in college football and in the pros, if ur team uniform requires black shoes they allow you to wear white shoes with black tape.

The facemasks for the revolution helmets need to be updated. They look curvey and outdated. The facemasks these days are a lot more srtaight.

East Carolina Pirates Jerseys

East Carolina has an all purple uniform that they wear (purple jersey and purple pants) as well as a uniform with a white jersey and purple pants Both were not included in NCAA Football 09 and need to be added to NCAA Football 2010.

Three changes were made this year at Milan Puskar Stadium.
**A new screen was installed that is three times larger than the one on '09
**The scoreboard is completely different and now says "Milan Puskar Stadium" at the top instead of the old "Mountaineer Field"
**There are new ribbon boards on the upper level of both sides.

Ok, So I might be asking for trouble, BUT here it goes. I can try to answer some uniform questions you have. I have worked in some capacity with uniforms for the past two years on NCAA (gen 2 in 08, a bit on 360/PS3 in 09, and I will be working with them on 10 in some capacity). Some things to remember from our end.

1. ALL of the uniforms in the game are submitted to for approval and actual go through the school. There are times a school will request that a certain alternate not be worn, or that something is being discontinued and for us not to use it. Sometimes designs for alternates come late and art does not have the time to get it into the game.

2. Most of what goes into the game is based on reference photos collected. One of the designers goes and collects as much reference photos as he can every week of the season. Sadly, many teams are do not have too many reference photos available that have good pictures from games so many times we have to figure out uniforms based on one home and one away game (for some smaller schools the bowl game is the only really good reference we get). Do you know how hard it is to get the Purple tops for LSU or the new Gold uniform tops for Ga Tech (both wear white at home)?

You also have to be careful as to where the picture might come from b/c some website use older stock photos. The best thing that can help us is honestly, if something is seen wrong or if you are a fan of a school, please post on these forums with what changes are coming. I am occasionaly on here and OMT (with the angry football picture) is usually on operation sports (he is the main uniform guy).

We want the uniforms to be as accuarate as possible, but there are 120 teams and an awful lot of uniform assets in the game, and we are not perfect. There are also some other things that are not currently supported in game (like Texas who has Black Shoes at home and White Shoes on the road or Oregon's multiple helmets).

ncaa 2010 needs the new shutt helmuts (like the ones penn state and oregon have and ect.) more style on players (like one arm sleeve, eye black, wristbands on legs, ankle and knee braces, dreads and ect.) and y culdnt each ncaa team make a list and send it into ea saying wat uniforms they want ea to make? that would be easier i think...

Nebraska

- Pull the all-white uniforms from the game. Didn't wear them this year, probably won't wear them again anytime soon.

- Players all wear black socks (provided they are added to NCAA 2010). All are at same length. All also wear same exact shoes.

The Hill...
It really annoys me each time i see the hill in the game that the people are all wearing grey and white shirts and there is a giant gaping space on the hill. People DO sit on the Hill after the team runs down it and I mean this to a full extent I have not seen one person EVER wear a grey shirt on The Hill, yes i've seen people wear grey jackets but not shirts.

I bleive Georgia Tech got rid of their old yellow uniforms, and for every game strictly where white with mustard yellow helmets, with a yellow string going down the sides of the uniform. Also they do a "white out" where all the fans including the team where white.

The University Of Georgia does the blackout for the fans, so please make the fans wear black when we UGA fans pick the black jerseys!

I believe Virginia Tech has a burnt orange special uniform they wore for their ACC opener this year, think bright orange.

-The student section on '09 is only a small part of the east side of Arizona Stadium. The actual student section extends from the NE corner to the SE corner. They wear all red, as well as 90% of our overall crowd. The band is also on the SE corner of the stadium, on the bottom. The visitors section is on the SW side of the stadium, just in 1 section that extends from the ground to the top of the stadium.

-I know much of you posters are more interested in game play than features, I'm on right with you on that. But for someone like me who is interested in uniforms, I think there should be some kind of uniform editor for those teams that have more than 1 uniform combo. Like in the screen that comes on after you pick your team when you select playbooks & unis, there should be an option to pick what color jerseys & pants you want, and helmet for teams that have more than 1 (just Oregon & Washington State I believe).

This would be great for fans who's favorite teams like Arizona (myself), Oregon, Mizzou, Florida St., Miami, Florida, Clemson, Wake Forest, Utah, etc., etc.

Arizona has 9 different possible uniform combos:

-All navy
-All red
-All white
-Navy on white
-Navy on red
-Red on white
-Red on navy
-White on navy
-White on red

It disappoints me to only be able to wear maybe only 1/3 of those, especially on a next gen game. Uniform designer OMT on operationsports.com has said that it's a possibility for 2010, and even has a forum for uniform updates. But I think it needs serious consideration. It would add a lot more reality to the game, & something that could brings fans & players of the game some added excitement. OMT stated that it was a budget issue that only allowed him to have a total of 50 alternates for the whole game in '09. Why would it be an issue w/ all the money EA Sports rakes in from not only NCAA Football, but all its titles?

I've seen the feedback & help w/ suggestions to better the game, & I think it's great for the designers to come in to these forums & ask for them. This is something that I & a lot of people would love to see, I hope that you EA folks can get it in to the game.
