With the wiki dead, is there anywhere I can go for help in building a roster custom view?
What I want to do is build a roster view that will list all the players along with all of their ability stats. Like so:
# Player YR POS HGT WGT OVR SPD STR AWR AGI ACC CTH CAR JMP BTK TAK THP THA PBK RBK KPW KAC STA INJ
-- ---------------------- ------ ---- ----- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ---
58 Tyrell Thomas FR ROLB 6'2" 211 62 68 68 56 72 76 52 40 65 40 72 40 40 44 44 44 40 80 78
93 Carlos Robinson FR RE 6'4" 249 68 70 65 59 65 74 44 40 48 40 70 40 40 44 40 44 40 72 80
Could that be done; and if so, where can I find a list of variables to work with?

Try this (attached):
I tried to get a custom roster once, but never finished it. Once I do, I'll post it myself.
Have you noticed, KTMC, that I've still been using your old school one? I love that thing. See here.

Thanks! Great to have the info...I'll see if that'll help me stumble my way through now.
Glad to see you still like some of my old-school formatting. I've taken a glance at various dynasty threads and see a lot more flash these days...not sure how much of that I'll want to adopt. If I can automate some of my old formats with AViD I'll be plenty pleased for now.
(Speaking of looking through threads...it's always daunting to consider the challenge of getting caught up. If I'm to give your and dawg_gone's and Madcat's and others' work due attention, I'll have to take a week off of work or something.)

I'd suggest the Vault, so then you don't need to read through the comments (though I like that when I'm simply perusing).
In lieu of that...
1. Crows made the NC game on 05 only to lose.
2. Michigan had the death penalty on 06, rebuilt to win two NCs.
3. Ezra went from Indy to WAC on 07, but still is not a national power.
4. HMU/Ezra converged on 08, and we're only through two seasons so far.
Storyline:
1. Fielding Blue remains slightly neurotic.
2. His wife has been kidnapped, dead, alive again, divorced him.
3. Blue's daughter has been married, a mother and is now dating another guy.
4. Reed Flint is still an ass.
5. Tzavvi Brompton holds a candle for Ashley Buchanan still.
6. FB's storyline has fallen apart in recent seasons...time is tight.

I have composed and double-checked my custom roster view that will list the players with all their ratings. I am attaching the code for it in case others may find it useful:
2384
If you don't want all the ratings to display--it is a bit wide if you do that--just delete the relevant entries. For instance, to remove the kicking stats, delete "KPW KAC " (including the single space after each abbreviation) from the top line, and then "{{player.kpw | align: 4}}{{player.kac | align: 4}}" from the bit below.
I am left with three questions for Mandi after doing this project.
First, will the new version of AViD allow us to add additional custom views? (And if not, please consider adding this at some point.) AViD 3 only lets me replace the single default Roster view, for instance, so if I have two different formats I want to use at different times, I have to cut-and-paste back and forth from a text file.
Second, can I change the way these views sort? I would like to have the option of seeing the output sorted by number, or by name, or by position (and the last in logical/customary rather than alphabetical order: QB, HB, FB, and so forth).
Third, would there be any way to have data separated by tabs rather than spaces? What I'm trying to do here is to have data in the Preview screen that I can cut and paste directly into Excel, without first doing a bunch of find-and-replace work in Word.

Wow Fielding. Where did you get that txt file?

The man himself. Mandibal emailed it to me long ago when he was working on setting up the Wiki. I had it stored in my email.

Guys, poke me when I start posting my Buckeyes dynasty. I'll probably forget between now and then but I've been meaning to do something as awesome as KTMC's roster setup automatically in AViD. The text file he posted above will probably go a long way in that regard ... thanks!
