a couple things that i would like to see on the next game is the ability to scout freshman sophomores and juniors in highschool. that way you can select say 5 or 10 and look at them have a scout in the offseason give you a report on them. then you can decide whether to scout them next year and get more info on them or to scout someone else from the class. i would also like to see a preseason show with high lights and commentators talking about the top 25 a weekly show that shows high lights and a bowl selection show like the bcs selection show they have in real life. also i think it would be cool if the announcers would talk about coaching achievements like a coaches 50th or 100th win of his career.

Agreed with above:

Spring Games - Let us see what we have to work with before heading to the offseason. Have a couple of freshmen report early for spring ball and give some bench warmers the opportunity to become stars.

Off-Season Drills - Similar to what can be found in Madden. Give us some control over what abilities we'd like our players to hone over the offseason instead of doing it automatically via 'training.'

Regional High School Combines - Could use the same drills as the off-season drills plus the opportunity to "scrimmage" at the end. Let us see the players in action before we commit to signing them. Real colleges don't have to offer kids without seeing them play, why should we?

Recruiting of Underclassmen - I was a nothing recruit in high school and even I got hundreds of letters during my sophomore and junior years. If there is some Noel Devine type tearing up the local high schools as a freshman then let me get in early on him and start cultivating the relationship.

All of the above suggestions would serve to flesh out the offseason. Currently it's treated as mostly an afterthought. Any college coach/player will tell you that what goes on during the offseason is what makes what goes on during the season possible.

refs, chain gangs, field goal nets, progressive time and weather during games, no more depth chart or roster bugs and team specific game entrances.

Also, sidelines need to be addressed more as well. The head coach should be there along with many assistant coaches and corridinators, ball boys, water boys, medical teams, more media and camera crews and kickers warming up and backup qb warming up when appropriate (like if the starter isn't performing).

Defense needs to be addressed, all we ask for is a balanced game.

Also, some kind of adaptive AI would be appreciated throughout a game. Many people want this in the game to make dynasty play more challenging and more satisfying. This is also a cool thing to put on the back of the box.

Another thing that would be very nice would be an overhaul on in game presentation. Use the ESPN rights with proper stat overlays and replays. What would also be cool is if you included overlays for ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPN U and ABC depending on if the game is regional, national, rivalry etc. It's not a Michigan-Ohio State game without ABC. This would be a great marketing concept that could get NCAA 2010 more exposure.

Stadium sounds need to cover cpu teams as well as human controlled teams.

One more thing, D1AA schools (I'm old school) and create a school.

Everything on this list is doable and would be able to make the deadline next year. My suggestion is to start working on it now, which I'm sure is happening. If it's disc space and memory that are prohibiting any of these things, get rid of all mini games including mascot games. No one plays them more than once anyway and deludes the product with immatureness. Thanks for the time.

in recruiting if you could recruit them as underclassmen then you could have them commit before the season starts like in real life. its only july and ohio state already has 23 commits it would make inseason recruiting alot easier if i knew i only needed to fill 2-5 spots.

New Feature Idea -- Varied Playcalling Depth

One of the big features this year on both Madden and NCAA is to try and make the game more accessible to casual gamers, while maintaining depth for hardcore fans. NCAA has done this on the Wii and PS2 versions with the "Family Play" options that allow for simplified playcalling, while Madden has done it by giving each player a "Madden IQ" which allows the game to automatically tailor itself to the player's specific abilities, and by adding in a few changes that affect gameplay on harder difficulty settings (no spectacular catch, pass icons disappear when QB gets too far behind the LOS).

One thing that I would like to see is this concept taken a step further for NCAA 2010. I would like to see an option for the user to choose from a couple playcalling styles, from Casual (Family Play), Normal (traditional way that it's been so far), and Hardcore/Advanced. On the Hardcore/Advanced setting, players would have the ability to do things like call defensive defensive line stunts and slants independent of coverage, similar to the way that the 2K playcalling system works. On offense users would have the ability to make adjustments to offensive line protection schemes, or to make "hot route" like adjustments to pass patterns in the huddle.

While the Advanced/Hardcore setting would probably be too complex for novice and casual gamers, it would add increased depth to the series for the more seasoned veterans. By having the ability to choose from different playcalling styles to fit the user's skill level/knowledge of the game, it would simultaneously make the game more accessible and deeper.

CPU AI enhanced on many, many levels such as:

1) Play calling on offense and defense needs overhauled and should adapt to game.
2) individual play recognition and pattern recognition. To date you can run the same slip screen all game and CPU only randomly covers it.
3) Play calling that not only represents down and distance but personnel. I am sick of seeing these supers low QBs running the option in super slow motion... its horrible.
4) Pass rush and blocking animation overhaul which is killing both pass rush realism as well as punt/kick blocking problems.

I will add more to above as I get to thinking about them.

Would like to see a lot more added to pregame and halftime to incorporate the college atmosphere into the game. This is of course IMO secondary to gameplay AI above but never the less would really add to the game IMO.

Recruiting could really use a face lift to better mirror real life recruiting. In real life Michigan for example has 114 scholarship offers right now to players... Also, need to get to 85 man rosters. Would also like to see a potential variable come more into the mix. Perhaps the greater the potential also the greater the potential for regression or something versus just getting the sure thing with less potential upside and downside. Would just like to see this go to the next level and since there already is a real life model, get all ideas from REAL LIFE.

I will be adding much more in the future....

I've been wanting this since College Football's National Championship II for Sega Genesis, when you could do it...

Turn off bowl games and allow for 4, 8, 16, and 32 team playoff system at the end of the year to decide the national champion.

I understand that the NCAA might not want EA putting this into the game for their own reasons, but I still want it, so I'm going to list it!

1. formation subs would be really nice
2. return coverage actually cover
3. i would love to see a playable high school all-american game where we can play with some of the stars we are recruiting.
4. jump snap glitch fixed.
5. a complete game when it drops(meaning not needing a patch before we can enjoy it or complain about it)

It's sort of like Dynasty and CAS combined but here it goes.
1.Build your small school edit stadium, uniform, and coach (you can actually craete your very own stadium not like how CAS was,and you can put teamnames and brands like nike, russell, underarmour on your jersey, and you can make your own personalized playbook, not the plays but formations and stuff.)
2. Now you are at year 1 as a FBS team in the Indepentents Conference.
3.In years 2-5 your goals as a coach are to join a small conference, get a bowl invite, and start getting 3* and below recruits before you couldn't go over 2*.
4.In years 6-10 start getting recognized by joining a BCS conference, winning middle-tier bowls, and getting 5* recruits.
5.In years 11-the rest of your years as a coach be a top 25 program every year, win BCS bowls and maybe even a title.
*If you don't meet the goals the game gives you then you get fired and have to create another coach if you want to move on with your created school.

(1) ADD FCS teams, with accurate rosters and stadiums!!!!!!!! Christ Sakes these fans are every bit as loyal and deserving as the FBS fans. It is a shame not to have the likes of Montana, Montana State, Applachian State, Furman, GA Southern, Youngstown State, UMass, Deleware (insert any and all FCS programs here). Until this is added the moniker of "Its in the Game" is BS!!!!!! Besides this is the highest level of collegiate football where a "TRUE" national champion is determined and where it should be determined "On the field!" Granted these programs are not as well known, yet they are not bad, and way too under appreciated. The above progams can hang with mid level FBS programs, and the likes of Montana and Applachian State have programs that are TOP 50 programs regardless of level. As for their fans, Has anyone been to a game at Montana (Missoula,MT)? If not, go! Their atmosphere and fans rank amongst the best in the nation (SI ranked them a top 25 gameday experience). 25k there is louder than 50k plus in most FBS stadiums. A top 10 FCS team would and should be ranked 77 plus overall on these games , with the best FCS progams ranked in the low to mid 80's.

(2) Some updates via email or phone calls of recruits gaining interest in your program. Updates of rumored unhappy players elsewhere looking to leave their program. It would be fun to recruit these players too.

(3) Create a school/program.

(4) Offseason scheduling, have programs submit offers to you with positives and negatives laid out for you to make a decision

(5) Graduated players tracking of how their pro careers have progressed.

(6) Being able to add seats, facilities, new field, etc by accomplishing various achievements. I would love to see a small or mid level built piece by piece to catch up to the big boys. Similar to what the NCAA baseball game has used in the past.

(7) ESPN gameday and halftime show with 1st have summary analysis, post game wrap up shows, conference shows, etc.

(8) Scout notifications of when professional scouts are visiting and what they are looking for or who they are looking at.

(9) More realistic defensive results

(10) Accelerated play clock option for various settings, 20, 15, 10, second options for how much time left on the play clock when your team lines up for the next play.

(11)Viewing pregame traditions and creating your own pregame tradtions. I want to see what it is like in these locker rooms and experience actually running out of whatever tunnel.

(12) Coaches and/or players reacting to an injury, and close up replay of how the injury occurred (for those that can stomach it)

(13) Referees and chain gangs interactions

Note to the developers, alot of good details are in SEGA/Sony produced games (college and pro) that we all like. 1,6, and 10 would be of highest interest for me.

You're turning off a huge number of fans by not including them.

I would like to see it where recruits don’t always pan out.

I think that 90 to 95% of recruits shouldn’t move more than 10 points higher in the players overall ranking throughout their career.

Have more turnover on the rosters like transfers, dropping out for grades, and other off season problems….

Have it where some one doesn’t have to be a part of your dynasty if you just want them to jump online for one game. Like when your playing a bowl game.

Make the game harder to beat when playing computer teams.

FIX THE KICKING GAME….THERE ARE WAY TO MANY GREAT KICKERS IN THIS GAME…

HAVE SOME KIND OF RANDOM SETTING BUILT INTO THE GAME WHERE THE COMPUTER MAY PASS ON KICKING A FIELD GOAL FROM 45 YARDS OUT AND PLAY FOR FIELD POSTION.

I'd like to see an ingame save feature and FCS schools. Also don't have everyone in FCS a 56 overall. NCAA 08 has Armanti Edwards as a white guy #15 and 56 overall. Also I believe Joe Flacco is like a low 70's. Thats just not right. Maybe an option to have a playoff at the end of the season too.

FCS (that's Football Championship Subdivision), formerly I-AA, should be added in order to make this a more complete College Football experience. I don't mean, just putting the team names in...I mean actually taking the effort to put as much realism into them as you do for the FBS schools! Hey, maybe even open another division within the company to focus solely on the FCS schools...

Second. I will never buy the next-gen version until they put my FCS back in. And since they no longer make xbox games, and I have a PS3, well that means I'm never buying the game again until I can freaking play as Montana State! :(

Third this. GET FCS TEAMS. Also, Get rid of most of the random cut scenes that no one cares about and all it does is slow the gameplay down. I have to start running the clock out right when i begin the game just to be able to finish it on my 40 minute break from work.

Not really sure if this fit in anywhere else but I'll post it here

This is just for rosters alone:
Duplicate numbers:
Honestly I don't know why all the players on all of the teams could have the same number, I mean if you want to have your roster like that then be my guest, you should be able to, but for us people who are picky and want accurate rosters, duplicate numbers should be in the game. Oregon usually has 2 key players every year that are the same number and I hate having to change one of them to an inaccurate number. I think EA should bring the "Manage Jersey Number" feature, from the PS2, to the PS3, but make it so that it has 2 columns with space for two players, so that only 2 players can have the same number but you can still do it. That probably sounds confusing to anyone who isn't familiar with the feature.

Transfer year:
This would make rosters that much better. Imagine being able to create a player that has to sit out due to transfer, and actually have him avalible for next year with no problems. College Hoops 2K# has done this, and I think it would be a great addition to the college football series.

Delete/Sign a player:
Once again, another feature that would make rosters super easy in terms of accurate editing. Being able to delete a player that is transferring and then signing him to his future team. Obviously this is minus contracts as this is college, but you get me.

More players:
Pretty self-explanation, but not a major issue in my opinion.

Custom playbooks. NCAA 09 has a clear formula: 18 formations, and about 300 plays.

Let us create our own playbooks -- with 18 formations and about 300 plays -- by choosing from a library of all the existing formations and plays that are already in the game.

Create-a-play and the ability to create your own formations (or modify existing ones) would also be great.

FCS teams, with updated rosters, realistic stadiums, and realistic rating. Armanti Edwards is a 76? You've gotta be kidding me. Stadiums look nothing like they really do, Delaware Stadium seats 22,000 but I still have the small HS stadium with people sitting on the hill and the Field House in the background. I'm not asking for a deadly accurate stadium, just one that looks like it could actually seat 22,000.

I agree with all of the above.
*I would also like to see something as simple as a squib kick.
*Helmets falling off. Knocking out a mouth piece.
*Able to select multiple custom sounds and select random play.
*There needs to be more pre-game, (Husker Tunnel Walk) like the 2K series showing the star running back taking a few handoffs, ect.
*I would really like to see a highlight show showing some plays from other games as well. AKA 2K Sports. I find myself looking for a good match up that I am not playing to watch every week I sim the week.
*Or even game breaks where the break into another game.

I think it would be sweet if they would allow other users to spectate, like in COD4, when two users are playing each other in online dynasty mode.

Also since the NCAA won't do it add an actual playoff system to the game. Top 10 teams have a playoff for the national championship...top 2 teams get buys. You can still use the BCS rating system and all the other teams can still have bowl games.

Love your whole idea here. I also want to expand on create-a-school for next gen.

First off, I would like to see more options for unis and stadiums. Let's put school names on the front of jerseys or be able to download logos for helmet/field art. I also love the idea of putting brand logos on as well as mentioned above. Give us more uniform options so if we want our team to look like the Oregon Ducks, let's us use something similar or use similar templates of other schools (of course, those could be copyrighted, but we could still have more options than we have now).

Secondly, and most importantly, let CAS be fully incorporated into the game. Allow us to have a unique school record book that can build and grow as our team does. In the past CAS has been excluded from Toughest Places to Play, record books, Great Game scores, etc. Allow us to have our schools be interactive like the real teams used.

Let us bring our teams into the online world and online dynasty realm. I know people adjusting ratings too high may be an issue for create-a-school rosters, but I'm sure that can be accounted for (ie allow default rosters to be used online, even teams settings, etc). I'm sure something can be worked out to allow this.

All in all, create-a-school is a great feature that has been mentioned several times in this thread alone. It needs to come back for 2010.

Either add Create-a-School or I won't buy it. This is non-negotiable.
Yeah, this is me too.

Who knows if these have been said:

- Athletic Director Mode: Allows you to schedule games (Kind of like march madness' system). I want it to be a big deal to schedule a huge game vs ohio state or someone like that not just an automatic. Hire and fire coaches (O/D coordinators, special teams), set budgets for recruiting and stadium upkeep

-Create a school come on now you know what that means

-Stadiums Have all stadiums in game. If i am in a dynasty and my stadium sucks then i should have the option to REBUILD A NEW STADIUM- madden has it plus if we aren't changing real stadiums- what school would then have a problem

-endzone art team specific on bowl games

-goes w/o being said IMPROVED AI better D, adaptive would be nice :)

-Spring game

-less tedious recruiting i think if they cut down the options for inseason recruiting (as in number of pitches) then it wouldn't be as boring bc you could get through it fast. Either way i think that the recruiting system shouldn't be the same for in season and off season bc they are totally different times

NO MASCOT GAMES= more in depth campus legend campus legend is simply dry and offers no incentive for a player to go more than a season with one player

ratings that matter we have like 50 different types of ratings and speed is just about the only one that matters

facility upgrades/administrative challenges in ncaa college baseball/march madness you often received different challenges that meant uprgrading different facilities which would in turn give players boosts in the specified categories- let me just say that it would be awesome for ncaa to have that bc it would make the user continue their dynasty just to simply say yeah my school has the best of everything- that would add replay-ability to the game

Uniforms After selecting that you want to play the game a uniform screen should come up with the options on the outisde and a player model on the inside. There would be team specific options for helmet design, Jersey Design, Pants Des, Socks, and Shoes-- All would be team specific colors/designs that the real teams use but the user would create the combination of their choice for that specific game

thats not all of my ideas but that is a start lol

oEditable Special Teams- Ability to customize special teams depth chart.

oCustom Playbooks- This includes Custom Formations & Plays as well as the ability to select plays and formations from the game?s default playbooks.

o85 Man Rosters

oDuplicate #?s- Ability to assign the same number to 1 player on offense and 1 on defense.

Lots of good Ideas here, I have a couple things to add that I havn't seen.

Matchups! If I have a top corner, I would like to be able to select, regardless of formation, that he matchup against their top Wideout. It could even be a simple sub package like FS/SS Swap but instead it would be #1CB Matchup or something like that.

I also would like more control over progression of players as has been mentioned already. I want my HEISMAN winning HB/QB to progress like one.

You can invite a friend to play with you in a match, atleast on on xbox you can. Also i dont think mics in a lobby would be that good of an idea just because it would be so annoying and you probably wouldn't be able to understand anyone because everyone would be talking. but thats just my two cents

Field and Jersey and Helmet Degradation - Footprints, splashes in the rain, slide marks in the snow. Helmets get dinged, jersey dirty, torn, etc.

Jersey, helmet, pants as seperate selections (frombama and I are the #1 advocates for this in more than 1 thread)

FCS schools and stadiums- talk about boosting sales EA!!! And also it would make playing a AA school more manageable, right now I never play those.

Player weight like madden has with the new branch system.

Endzone art in championship/bowl games.

Feature -Dynamic Weather
Issue - weather has no effect on the game

Examples - clean jerseys during torrential downpours, wind doesn't effect jukes or pursuit angles, rain doesn't effect field.

Suggestion - Rain and weather should adversely effect a players ability to make sudden jukes or spins. I'm definitely not saying to make the players move slower. Inserted create an algorithm that is tied to the level of rain on the field, and players agility and the speed they are running. If a player is all-out sprinting at an angle toward the sideline and they try a double sprint they should fall some percentage of the time. That way everyone won't fall all over themselves, but we will get a slip every now and again. Make it tied to that algorithm so it can see it affect all players, event the QB. So if I have my not so fleet footed QB running on a rain soaked field theirs a "chance" he may fall down.

Overall recap - Football is played outside, in the elements, it’s time virtual ball felt that way too. This will not negatively affect the casual gamer; in fact they would love it. Imagine playing in a "mode bowl" or ice storm and the ice/mud actually make you slip. Trust me it's a guaranteed winner.

Trust me it's a guaranteed winner.

nice idea...but i think guaranteed is a strong word..lol...imagine you playin for money and you're in a crucial drive to win/tie the game with no time outs. Your qb gets flushed from the pocket, only to slip when trying to gather his feet to throw the ball downfield...you get "sacked" and time runs out...the person playin would be PISSED! but i liked the idea though

Also remember though that the other player had to play with the same elements throughout the game as well, and the same chances to slip are there for their qb. That type of 'element' would be incredibly positive if you ask me. The rain and snow HAVE TO affect someone or something in the game, otherwise it's another failed feature that is good for nothing more than eye candy. College football is a game of elements, it always has been. A bad shotgun snap or the ball slipping out of the qb's hand on a throw every once in a while would be good too.

I would like to have all the FCS schools or as many as possible. I would also like create a school where you can upload your own logo and have a bunch uniform possibilities.

Would very much like this. Especially if you could take a 1-AA team and work your way up to 1-A and eventually a big time conference.

Add the ability to record full games, in the same manner as Halo 3, including the ability to share the recordings online.

It is still impossible to see your outside receiver in most situations, especially if you are trying to run a screen or an out if you are not rolling out of the pocket. The main camera angle needs to be fixed to adapt to this. Perhaps we can highlight a receiver so the camera will focus in his direction. Also when running the football it is hard to see cutback lanes or know where the cornerbacks are.

Yes! I remember in old versions of NCAA you could choose from a wide variety of camera angles. They should put more camera angles into the game. For example, during a 1 player game, I would like to actually have the camera angle flipped when I am on defense (optional of course).

It would not be awful. It would be a great implementation, if it was caused by a user read and move. Say the user is sprinting outside, and then tries a cutback from all the way right on the controller to all the way left to juke a defender. Runner loses his balance, that's fine with me. If it's random I don't like that idea, but there has to be some kind of elemental feature that makes a rainy or snowy game different to play in, and a different gameplan or style of play should be used in a game like this. That's football. Wet ball, tougher to make long throws, high or low snaps in the shotgun, wobbly throws, etc. (By the way there should be a bad weather rating for QB's and Kickers).

We want the real game to be in our hands, that's the cry I hear on all of these forums. So elements need to and have to effect gameplay. And another place that it big time needs to effect is the kicking game. Somehow.

well i think the easiest solution would be to just have the ratings decrease at the start of the game due to weather conditions...ex. if a qb accuracy rating is 88, but the game is snowing almost to the point of not being able to see, then the accuracy would drop down to 80 or 78 or something like that. Im telling you, if you're running and juke in the rain only to fall on a crucial drive, you are most certainly going to be pissed. I dont think i would care about realism at that point on 4th and 2 with the game on the line.

Maybe it could be in the way they write the code or someting idk..but i think that would be a lot better to have the running backs carry ability decrease vs seeing him fall in a wide open field with only 1 man to beat..just my opinion

i agree with all the previously stated suggestions, especially like the create-a-powerhouse feature.

now here's what i'd like to see that hasn't already been mentioned.

-i think the ability to expunge all the "29WR 1960" records at the beginning of a dynasty and be able to make more relevant records would be nice.

-also, to add to the multiple number idea, how about being able to retire numbers from an extraordinary player in your schools history, and on the same token, the inability to use previously retired numbers if you choose.

-more emphasis on the sideline and overall ambiance and environment of college football. it goes beyond just the stadium and sounds. the fan movements and overall look is pretty corny to me, as well as how terrible the sidelines look. i hate seeing a play that ends on the sideline where, in 2009 the active players do everything in their part to avoid one another after the whistle, can simply walk through the players, photographers, etc. on the sideline. also, make the pylons/goal posts active all the time, i hate ghosting through those as well.

-somehow incorporate the returned discipline rating (fingers crossed) into the game where players with low discipline, make "bonehead" mistakes at crucial times in the games. like, for instance: bad reads, bad snaps, post-play celebrations, and overall rating decreases in necessary based on the game.

-please, please, please, make the home field advantage more challenging or something. there has to be more than just wiggling play art and difficult-to-make audibles. maybe it's just the overall gameplay, but essentially, i can go into the "toughest place to play" on heisman and destroy them running the same plays over and over.

-i'm not a big fan of campus legend, but maybe being able to add more options in terms of being seen would be nice. for instance, maybe being able to create a highlight tape to send out to the schools you're interested in. or something interactive like that, to make it more realistic.

-in dynasty mode, be able to scout teams for tendencies and actually be able to plan against their bread&butter plays. also, post game, after losses be able to go and "fix" what you did wrong so you're less susceptible to those same mistakes in the following weeks or in rematches. this can be done manually by the user or auto for the computer (of course) so that you can't torch teams the same way, week in&week out, thus making the game more difficult. however, i know that each program has it's game plans, so i could see how this could be left out. because ultimately, if done inaccurately, teams wouldn't be efficient whatsoever due to changes and whatnot.

-overall, i'd like to see more interactive pre&post game options.

-a "morale" pool of potential transfers during dynasty mode. see why they want to transfer and what you can do to your own players flirting with the idea, to keep them around.

-the ability to potentially replay&save each play for highlights not just "big" plays the computer thinks are "great."

-having recruits be more able on the field, more gems, busts, and risks. i hate recruiting a 5* guy and his overall is like 78. maybe being able to train a certain amount of recruits after they commit to make them more of a "blue chipper" when the season comes around.

-more lead-up to bowl games, they aren't just another week in the schedule, so they shouldn't be treated that way. have some sort of something to make the games seem more important. the same can be said about rivalry games.

that's all i can think of at the moment, i'm sure i'll be adding on later.

Let us get more into the nitty-gritty of the mechanics. I would kill to be able to set a comprehensive pass pro scheme vs. the defensive fronts. I want my guards to read the way we did on my high school field; against a 3-4, they'd read the MLBs. If they came, the guards held their ground or followed them and protected. If they dropped into coverage, the guards would kick back and read the OLB. If he didn't come, they'd help with the center or one of the tackles.

a new feature that i would like to see and ive seen it suggested before is create a play book. i would like it if they had the play books that they have now but when you create one they should give you like 300 spaces avaliable for you to put in formations and plays so if you want 300 formations and 1 play per formation thats how your playbook will look or if you want 1 formation and 300 plays out of it then thats how it will look. and this is more important to me then creating your own plays which i think is also important is the making of your own packages. i think they should let you when you create your playbook they should let you create your own packages also instead of the ones they give you. i personaly would like to have packages that let me enter my 3rd running back in the game with out subbing him in. and there are some that i dont use like putting the rb in the slot i have no use for that. this of course i would want on the defensive side of the ball done the same way and id like it if you got more time if you got to cycle through the packages i think they should give you like 20 sec after the cpu calls its play to let you get yours called.

i agree with everything he posted above but specifically these parts.
if you could scout underclassmen then you could have busts and hidden gems. and the more you scouted them the more interested theyd be when they are senoirs. so a 1* team could have an outside shot at landing a 4* or 5* recruit.
discipline is a huge part in recruiting. nough said.
and in the show case game if you wanted the cpu to play it then you could get the tv view but highlight the players that are on your list with a green circle or whatever underneath them so you can tell them from everybody else to make evaluating them easier.

i was thinking about this last night. to cover both styles of play arcade and sim ea should have 2 pre set sliders.
1 for arcade style where the sliders favor the offense for people that like arena league scores.
the other for sim style for people like me that like a realistic gameplay.
they should be pre set so you just choose one. they should also be adjustable so that i can have a better gameplay for me.
the 2 slider styles should just be a starting point so the style that i want is a little easier to find.
also there should be a cpu memory slider. what i mean by that is there should be a slider that controls the cpus memory on adjustments. so if you set it to 0 the cpu would make no adjustments and would just call plays at random depending on down and distance. if you set it to 25 the cpu would make adjustments in the 4th quarter. 50 it would make adjustments at halftime. 75 it would make adjustments after the 1st quarter. and 100 it would remember your tendencies from the previous game in your dynasty. almost like a scouting report on you. that way if you are not good at making adjustments or there are only a few plays you can run well you can set it at 0 and still have a good game. but if your like me i would set it at 100 so that i can have my run actually set up play action.

I would certainly like to see more color variety in the crowd, as not everyone wears crimson, or any home color, except on in the student section and also on rare special occasions like a white out or black out at certain places.

Also I would like to see more of a party type atmosphere after a big touchdown, momentum changing turnover, big gain in a close game or a late sack or 4th down stop to preserve a win, especially in the student section. As it is now, there is just too much mundane-ness amongst the fans. For Touchdowns and Turnovers, things like team flags waving, a few flashbulbs (A FEW, not like Madden, but spread out), and students crowd surfing or high fives/hugging among all the fans, could really add to the overall appeal of crowd atmosphere, and would give relief to the hopping frogs in the crowds presently. These would give attitude and a sense of uniqueness to each crowd as well.

The Scouting/Gameplan Feature idea, I love!!! This would make each game unique, and if the cpu teams are accurately interactive with you as well, the chess match will make for a fun experience from game to game. It would HAVE to be an optional feature though, as not everyone would want to or even could use it effectively.

Dually noted fam. And as it is, either side of this debate is predicated on the ratings being intricate players in the game, which they are not all yet, but if they ever did become that way, things like this could also be triggered by 'CLUTCH PERFORMERS' along with 'IMPACT PLAYERS'. As such a player would not slip in a major situation, simply cause he would not do it in a real life game, but there are those that do slip in a real life game in this situation, or fall after being bumped by their own player in the backfield and trying to escape, and that pisses me off too, when my team has a guy that just can't escape an escapeable play. This makes the players that can escape that....a GREAT CLUTCH PERFORMER, and you appreciate these players much more. And they end up in the player of the conference, year, AA voting, Heisman, and so on.
Also remember that not all 'IMPACT PLAYERS' are 'CLUTCH', but that's a few years off I think anyway.

Weather HAS to have an effect on ratings and the weight of the game. I think we're all in agreement here, as well we should be. Wet and windy footballs are not easy to handle, and this should be implemented. And there should be more difficulty for the user to see in a really bad weather game too IMO.

nba 2k9 has adaptive AI to your seasonal tendencies and even in game gameplay. Now, I realize this is NOT 2k, so ...... but if this were incorporated into play calling and strategy for ncaa 10 cpu ....... somehow, provided it wasn't an atomic glitch, it would make the game much more playable. I don't understand why EA seems to think that people won't play it or buy it if they have to think more during the game. It's just simply not the case. Run the same play 4 times in a game and the cpu has picked up the formation, and the likely play, audibles out of their failing play, you have to counteract or be torched, it's simple, it's brilliant, it makes the game better. Simply make it a box read that the AI will adapt to play calling and people will adhere or lose several games, and in the essence of real fair play, it's genious. This disallows cheesing and does so much that I can't even explain. OH, and don't use the same plays for every team. There are many "TEAM SPECIFIC" plays in EVERY real life play book. Don't send the same plays to every team in different combo varieties of formations. Actually find plays and formations specific to more than 3 teams. Don't just watch the college football film, make use of it. If the hundreds of hours that we are told go into watching football for playbooks, are going in, we should have a blasted megathon of team specifics, right down to splits/stances & hand/feet signals & auto motions that go with certain formations, audibles, and teams, not to mention in coming recruits and specific coaches if they ever get to hiring/firing coaches. I'll take 3 weekends of college football and give you 100 plays/variations for specific teams that aren't in the game we play right now. Just give me a clicker and pay me. Madden has "team specific" defenses, not to mention offense, why can't ncaa get this? People want to play with their team, but if we have to go to some other teams playbook, what the heck????

Team Chemistry/Confidence?
position chemistry/trust?
personal influence?
Game Momentum?
Home field Momentum/Effect?
Corrected AI and player rating?
Star player effecting/taking over game positive and negatively?

So much to do....[down]

Get rid of the Mascot games and mini games and the legend mode.. Just have the ability to play online and dynasty!!! Use all the space and memory used for those aspects and dump them in the Dynasty mode..

Bring back formation subs so we can put people on speacal teams that we want... And all of the teams that line up and play on sat should be in the game...

1) Upgrade your schools facilities, so more recruits are becoming interested if you're school is performing well.

2) Formation Subs, Let me put my power HB in on every play out of goal line and things like that.

3) More division schools to play with in Dynasty.

4) Create a playbook

5) Create a school, with REALISTIC LOGOS, COLORS & Stadiums.

6) In dynasty choose what kind of practices you wanna run during the week. Like if you are scheduling a speed team, focus on speed etc.

Some kind of Scrimmage mode in online dynasty! Where too people can play against each other either with there teams and/or random teams just to have some fun.

There have been time where I havent played people in my dynasty and would love to see how our teams match up.

I think it would be really cool to have create-a-team back in NCAA football 2010, but also a NEW feature could be the ability for players to create their own stadiums, stadium backdrops, field art, player uniforms, stadium assignments(student sections, band sections), and then load their very own creations onto EA online, where other users could download their very unique creations. In order for this to work, there should be a lot more advanced tools for creating stadiums and teams. This New feature would be a lot like the EA locker where other players could upload and download rosters online.

New Additions:

Build a Program - It happens quite a bit. For Example, Old Dominion is starting football next year (or 2010). USF has done this in the past decade. I should be able to do this. From scratch, I should be able to build a football program to include the stadium, uniforms, logo, color scheme, region of the country, everything. This alone would address many of the other "custom" and "create" issues that are being begged and pleaded for all the time. It's one thing to sign on as a coach at a lesser program and "build it" and quite another to literally start from ground zero. I want to start from ground zero. I want to hire coaches, design my stuff, and then see if I can make it or not.

Include All of the NCAA - Seriously if you can sell a two disc Madden game with a bunch of crap on the second disc, you can sell a two disc NCAA game with one disc full of either A) - the other ncaa divisions OR B) - the most in depth "create" mode ever imagined. Seriously, you waste time with the stupid mascot CRAP but TAKE OUT an entire division of the NCAA ? Wow, bass freakin ackwards. I'd gladly shell out 10/15 bucks more for a game that will give me all of the NCAA divisions or the ability to literally create any ncaa school I want. You've got the NCAA license, USE IT. Just let me load whatever 1-AA/d2/d3 team from the other disk into an independent slot and go. OR, let me damn near create my school, import, and go.

Custom Conferences/Historical Conferences - I'd LOVE to be able to play in the Southwest Conference. Give me the option for say an "old conference alignment" where the SWC/Big 8 still lived. Or, have me be able to at least select what schools are in what conference at the start of a dynasty. Again, you've got the NCAA license, so use it. Is it that hard to put a "create" mode on there where the old conference logos are there and I can fill the slots before I start my game ? Within this, I should be able to select my conference settings i.e. - number of teams/title game or not. Also, how about a conference option for the BCS, or the ability for a conference to "gain" BCS status ? I mean, the MWC is as good as AT LEAST two of the so called BCS conferences right now. I should be able to do something about this in my game.

EDIT:
Realistic Crowd Reaction - I literally just played a game between UCF/USF (as UCF). It was at Brighthouse. Now, I watched the game earlier this year and that stadium was loud as all hell, and the freakin cameras where shaking because of the crowd. Well, in the game I return the opening kick off 98 yds for the score, and they don't even change volume level, let alone get excited that I scored. What the hell is that ? In rivalry/big games the atmosphere doesn't change one bit. Half the time big plays/big downs happen and you wouldn't know it based on crowd reaction. Going along with this, why are Bowl games the same intensity as non televised games ? Ugh, it's very frustrating.

Give. Me. Custom. Playbooks. And let me take them online. You can limit the unusual formations (Wildcat, Gator Heavy, etc.) so that you could only have one of them. Balance right there. It would also let me run the offense I want to run rather than search for playbooks that are not representative of the actual team. [glare]

OKay since we have seen FIFA and NBA do it I see not reason why NCAA can't do it.

Live weekly updates. If a team is doing well then they show that in the game the following week.

Why can't NCAA do it?

As a team why should we put put with WV being #8 the whole year when they obviously have notplayed that way this year.

Texas Tech has shown great improvement so why cant hey improve on the game week to week?

Just improve them by letter grades if the team improves

and if a QB is on fire for a week then allow him to play like a 90+ QB instead of staying at the 85 rating.

Would this even be possible?

They would have to find other ways to get around it.

They can't do roster updates since the game technically (according to NCAA regulations) does not use real-life players.

However, maybe they could work on constantly updating play styles and team tendencies and maybe even playbooks. Even if certain players don't perform up to standards, if they could get teams to match their counterparts it would add a lot.

NCAA Basketball uses the ESPN 150, so maybe NCAA Football can follow suit. Good idea.

There are tons of things I'd like that would show up on NCAA 2010. Here's my list:

1) Create-A-School: Just like the old days in PS2, from being the 120th ranked school in the country to National Championships.

2) FCS Schools: From Appalachian State to Robert Morris University.

3) Daily progress instead of weekly progress in Dynasty: Practices everyday, and Daily recruiting. You can recruit 7 players a day in 5 weekdays = 35. 2 hours of recruiting each day, instead of 10 each week.

4) In-Depth Recruiting: I have alot of input on this one, I'd like to see underclassmen being recruited, of course they would take up space on the recruiting board, but if you're willing to waste space then that's your option.

Also, there should be different forms of recruiting. Text Msg = 5 mins, Email = 10 mins, Phone Call = 20 mins.

more emphasis on bone crushing hits that we all love. Maybe a slow motion or screen shaking something. Just let us know someone was just tattooed. Coach and player, slow mo replays, commentators etc...

Basically just WAY more attention to little details that make it real. Gatorade tables? Being tackled over one?

Gatorade being dumped on winning coach (hell id even settle on just SEEING actions from the coach)

The media sideline guys just stand still and dont move for shit. lets see some action.

Your team running down the field with the coach and the reciever who just snagged a 40 yarder.

Fielf goal nets. A widescreen shot of your teams pre game huddle. Warming up. Hell I'm desperate for anything. 09 was awesome in alot of ways, but lacking in alot of details

Bear with me guys, this is very long, but detailed, and hopefully a producer will read it.

GRAPHICS

The Crowd- Although the graphics have improved since last game, I am not impressed at all with the crowd. If anyone has ever been to a real game, the crowd is basically standing still, UNTIL the home team gets a first down, big pass, big run, touchdown etc. Like when an interception is got, the crowd should be going absolutely nuts. And I don’t care what stadium you’re in, it should and is going to be LOUD. Especially if it is a rivalry, ranked game, or season saving game (Conference title etc). So a more realistic crowd would be nice. I know it is probably difficult to make 50,000+ little computer fans do all these crazy things, but still.

The Referees- I think the referees have to be the most pathetic in the game. Last year it was one black guy doing all the calls in the same voice. This year it is a white guy with a goatee doing all the same boring calls. Here’s my thing. To make the game a little more real, put all the refs on the field ( Ref, Ump, Line judge etc.) and make them partially transparent when the play is going on as not to interfere with the game, and of course unable to make contact with the players.

It wouldn’t kill to have a whistle blow the play dead like in real life either and have the refs freak out and all run towards the ball. Oh, and you can have Brad Neslar say # so and so, but you can’t have the referees say Holding # so and so on the defense? You have to zoom the dumb camera to show who did it? Pathetic. Show referees, make them say the numbers of the penalized, and for god’s sake, randomize a main referee’ s look every game, and change their voices.

Fumbles- How about a huge dog pile? Refs pulling players off of each other trying to see who got it? Players on the opposing teams signaling they have it when nobody knows yet? Don't automatically rotate the screen or blow the play dead when a player touches it those loose balls are hard to pick up! The announcers freaking out because they don't know. And then the real signal from the Ref.

The Sideline- Whoa. No movement at all? Not even when a game breaking play is being achieved? Not when 1-10 Washington State is returning a game winning, time expiring punt to knock off #1 USC’s chances in a National? NO MOVEMENT? Pathetic again. Again, would it kill to maybe REALLY sub the players in? Make some move? Have the backup QB warming up, or the kicker practicing into the net? Oh. And it’s awesome you get to create what the coach of the team looks like. Wait. When do we actually see that coach? NEVER. How about putting him on the field? So more movement, give the sideline life, show substitutions etc.

The Coach- I brought this up last paragraph. Put the coach (s) on the field. When a bad pass is thrown, a fumble, a penalty. Show him screaming! Show his disappointment. Or be able to give your coach a personality. How about being able to select a Calm personality (Mark Richt, Jim Tressel, Nick Saban). In between personality (Urban Meyer, Pete Carroll, Phillip Fulmer). Or angry personality (Steve Spurier, Rich Rodriguez, Paul Johnson). Why not? Whatever you choose, expresses it on the field. And Assistant coaches might be too much, but it wouldn’t hurt to try it out.

Upsets, Game winners- Okay guys. If I hit a time expiring 78 yard game winning touchdown pass with Vanderbilt to upset #1 Florida, and I’m at home, and the streak between the two teams is like Florida by 20 years. Then the entire team should run out on the field to celebrate like a pack of wild dogs. Maybe even the crowd (which would realistically happen in that game), come out and celebrate as well. Announcers go nuts talking about the upset etc. Be nice huh? I guess that ties into the dead sideline zombies as well.

Field Goals- Okay. I am upset about the field goals as well. First off. EVERY TEAM, from High school, to NFL. After a kick is made, the 2nd String QB who holds the ball (or whoever does the hold) will slap the kicker’s helmet, they turn and greet each other, or slap hands. And if it’s a big field goal, a game winning field goal, an UPSET FIELD GOAL, the entire team engulfs the kicker!!! They cheer, they chant, they go nuts! The kicker is the hero OMG! He did it!!! He pulled out the clutch kick! Does my kicker do that? No. He jumps up and down and celebrates, while the rest of the team walks off the field like they have to go write reports on why moss sometimes grows on the bottom of rocks where theirs no moisture. It’s lame, it’s boring, and it’s an easy fix so fix it!

Celebration- This is about after a score. I’m sorry EA. But in my opinion the celebrating with mascots is dumb. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a player celebrate with a mascot. Not to mention not every team has a guy in a suit so you are singling out teams. Remove it please. Anyway, the players that walk toward you when you score is awesome, a little more different variations would be nice for the next game, keep it up. But hey, if it’s a game winner, upset, National etc. Get the entire team, and sideline (maybe crowd) involved!!

Beginning- How about team entrances that everyone has asked for? And what happen to my assigned captains on offense and defense meeting the other team for the coin toss? Come on guys these little things have been in football forever, they are the basics!

Okay I am finished with graphics. We need feedback guys so reply!!!

Let’s go to Categories if we will.

CATEGORIES

Online dynasty- Probably the best idea since Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, the online dynasties are absolutely incredible. I love it, and I think the majority will go with me on that, kudos to EA and please read the rest of this paragraph to better next years OD. Alright, the OD is great, but nowhere near perfect so let’s begin.

A lot of people like to do Conference only dynasties, and I don’t think it would hurt if we could modify the conference games. I know we all have to play at least eight, but that’s fine. Let us be able to modify when and where we play those eight games. And which teams in our conference we would like to play that year. Georgia doesn’t play LSU every year, but sometimes they do. But I’ll never be able to modify those things. Get me?

Everyone knows about the players leaving glitch, but take note of that as well please. I think that just like the single player dynasty, you should be able to get offers from different schools. If everyone is in a single conference dynasty, then they will just keep extending their contract, but it would open up more variety if you had a dynasty where everyone started with low schools and got offers until they hit a big program. We all know those annoying kids that go for it on fourth down, onside kick, and do 2pts all the time. Maybe having some sort of option to where you can turn it on to where you can only do those certain things when losing by a certain amount.

Example, you can ONLY select punt/ punt fake when you are 4th and more than 5 yards. But you aren’t allowed to select any shogun, or single back etc. Of course make this an option to turn on and off. Why should I recruit Online dynasty members and have to explain to play fairly, when I can just turn it on and say fair play rules are on. I understand this is the first Online Dynasty, but option would be nice to have, even in ranked games. Also, I know the BCS ***** in real life, but it does in the game too! You basically have to go unbeaten in the dynasty, because it seems there is always two unbeaten teams left. Try to fix this please.

Can Heisman candidates be judged on what teams they play? If My QB throws for 200 yards rushes for 100 yards and has 4 total TDs against Florida State. That should give me more credit than Tim Tebows 3 million yard game against FCS Southeast. It seems the schedules are graded in the beginning of the year, but when it matters in the final BCS rankings, they don’t. Just like in real life, the teams that you have beaten/ gotten beaten by should add up based on what they are ranked at the end of the year. Example: You have LSU, Georgia, and Ohio State in your schedule. It’s an A+. But at the end of the year if those three teams all have two losses, then it should be calculated around a C+ just like in real life.

One last thing. I have come across players that I recruit in my online dynasty that cannot connect to other players. A guy who has Duke, can’t connect to My Miami guy, or Clemson guy, but CAN connect to everyone else no problem. This should either be fixed, or at least some sort of pre season scan that determines who can connect to who. I don’t even know if that is possible but you’re the geniuses! Lol

These additions would be amazing for all online dynasties.

Campus Legend- I am not a huge fan of campus legend, but it can’t be removed simply because it’s required. Everyone wants to be that star player on their favorite team, and the real players who buy the game want to be themselves. If I had any input, it would be to make any defense legend easier to control/ be. I created a SS and it’s so boring when all the computer does is run and never throw a pass my way because I cover well. A little more effort wouldn’t hurt.

Mini games- I think the only purpose that anyone has for playing mini games are to get the achievements. I don’t like them, and think they should be left out to create more devoted time to the online dynasties and graphics.

Practice- Obviously needed, and the big improvement for when you turn the ball over the play is blown dead. The best improvement that could be achieved here for me is to be able to get into practice quicker. It takes too long to load.

Mascot Mash Up- A humorous idea by the creators, but once again they are singling out teams that don’t use mascots. I think it should be left out, and replaced by more thought on other areas.

Custom Rosters- Everyone knows (including EA) that every year people get the real names of all rosters by buying them on eBay, getting it through friends, a website, or simply doing it yourself. Making it easier to manage these rosters would be a great attribute. Too many times have I had to restart an entire Online Dynasty because there is lack of instruction on uploading them online. And too many times I save a roster, only to go online or play now and see stupid numbers. I’m not asking you to illegally put the names on the game. Just make it easier for us to do so.

I also have a GAME PLAY category, but put it in gameplay [smile]

CLOSING THOUGHTS AND ADDITIONS

Engine- Maybe EA could buy the HAVOC Engine? I think the gameplay would be amazing if they did.

Some things to think about adding and my closing statements- I love Brent Musberger’s commentary, and Lou Holtz as well. Maybe getting them in on the game announcing and switching it up would make the game a little more tolerable for long play days. Again stressing the variety of referees and changing them up as well. Too repetitive.

The ideas floating around about halftime shows, and Lou Holtz and Mark May going on and on about what a player did in the game. I would be satisfied even if you made them digital, just get them in the game!

How about the point spread from fabulous Las Vegas? I realize you guys put Kirk and Corso picking pregame winners, but how about a point spread? They have a lot to do with college too.

I have a theory. Awareness seems to be used only when you sim, but one of the most important traits a player has. I was thinking about having a Composure rating instead of awareness. The higher a composure rating, the less a player makes mistakes (Throwing behind, Fumbling, committing penalties etc). And the only way to raise composure is to have good coaches.

Enter Offense and Defensive coordinators. The higher a rating for these coaches, the better your player’s composures are in a game. Lets say that a Linebacker that has a composure rating of C (79 or below) would commit personal foul more often than a player with a rating of A or 90. We’ll say for example the C rating would commit an average of 2 penalties a game, while the A wouldn’ t at all. Then you recruit a Defensive coordinator with a rank of B, and then your next game that Linebackers composure is now around an 88. Because his coach is coaching him well.

Now along with student recruiting, we can recruit better Offense and Defensive coordinators as well. Battle to get coordinators to quit jobs, or take a look at potential free coordinators. Then you apply this to kickers, quarterbacks etc. Example, a kicker with a low composure would have a more difficult time kicking when iced. And a quarterback with low composure would have more trouble converting on a game saving 4th down. And maybe with better coordinators, the players under those coordinators would improve better in the off season. Get me?

Of course don’t make it easy to get these guys. These are careers of course, and you should have unlock pitches just like students. Instead of academics, it would be salary etc. You can take the idea and modify it anyway.

I think it would be good to think over, and add a new side to the game. With all the firing of coaches this year it might spark an interest.

Closing thoughts. This is a great game, and EA has done a good job. But maybe if they respond to all the fans cries, then we would stop speculating that EA’s main focus is Madden, and NCAA is like a lesser game, and it's all about the money. They are two different games, and should be treated equally. I love college football, and NFL. But I love College football games. All this new stuff they added to Madden. All the is time and effort I’d like to see applied to NCAA. Even some of these improvements would go a long way, but I think all are well within reach.

Thanks everyone for reading, and leave your thoughts!

-Mike

I like a lot of the ideas on here. I must say I am a stat guy. What I have always wanted included in dynasties is ALL-Time lists for each school. Records are nice but once the record is broken you haven no statistical history of that player any more once they leave the school. I would like to see a top 5 all-time rushing/passing/receiving and etc.. list for each school. You know, top 5 season totals with the list of players, top 5 career totals with the list of players. Then make a National list of all-time leaders. I would like to be in year 5 and look back to my running back in year 2 and say he is 2nd on the all-time rushing list for my school.

1. Formation IQs

Have the main offensive and defensive formation types (IE Spread, Ace, I-form etc. ; 3-4, 4-3 etc.) correspond to a numeric or grade value assigned to either teams or players. The coach gets practice minutes to devote to these formations. The optimal allocation of the practice minutes will have coaches using an average of 5 formations total between offense and defense.

Changing a scheme mid-season would yield consequences, the off-season allows more sufficent time to install a new philosophy.

The formation IQ can be used as a modifier for player awareness or made to effect gameplay in some similar way.

2. Scripted Offense & Defense

This would allow pre-snap adjustments to be carried out automatically rather than manually.

This would be especially helpful for defense (time restricted), allow us to set formation specific pre-snap adjustments based on the offense that is presented. This is would alleviate some of the cheese risk of custom plays - defensive scripts would kick in and one wouldn't have to wait until after the game to make a play to stop the opponents scheme.

1.it would be great if you could coach your team during halftime just like you can during timeouts. maybe show an animated clip of the team in the locker room and you as the coach can choose from various types of speeches to give (encouragment, dissapointment, anger etc.) which your team would respond to.
2.also the game NEEDS team entrances and real celebrations for a bowl win. team specific entrances (Notre Dame comes to mind) would be very cool.
3. how about if your QB throws a 3rd pick the game shows the back up start warming up on the sideline? this would give NCAA Football a much more real and tv like feel.
4. fans rush the field after a home team pulls off a large upset?
5. how about making sure your players are maintaining a 2.0 gpa? you could be forced to sit them if fail a midterm (maybe be hard to incorporate into the game but just throwing it out there, i certainly dont want to take tests for my players).
6. when your team is driving at the end of the half or game you could show clips of the kicker warming up for a field goal try.
7. more team sideline celebrations with better graphics.
8. as everyone else has posted - refs, chain gang etc.
9. more player - fan interaction (although the current pump up the crowd is awesome) create a fan, student sections, etc.

I said this elsewhere too, but since it's been brought up... As noted the crowd is so dull it's depressing [down]. I mean really, there's only 4 basic fans in each game, over and over a couple thousand times. And the unison among them is so intense, I feel like I'm at a golf tournament most of the time.

There should be 15 or so fan types in the crowd at the very least. From fans with coats to fans with at least home and away jerseys, if not different styles and vintage team jerseys, hats, tee shirts of multiple colors, (no shirts:p), painted, crazy apparel, etc.

Fans rise at different rates of speed for big plays. Some rise while a deep ball is in the air, or as a runner busts into the open field. Most student sections stand the entire game, while the rest sit down between plays unless it gets late in a close ballgame. They wave their arms, pump fists, raise one hand in a fist or both hands, high five, hug, clap, etc., when big plays turn the momentum.

The away team also has a different section than the home team, and normally mostly wear variations of school colors. They should be noticeably rowdy during their big plays as well, while the home team fans sit in dejection and contemplate with two hands on their head, or the infamous 'what happened?' pose with two arms begging for an answer, or the 'skyward' look, or their head/chin buried in their palms in agony, or just simply scratching their head in bewilderment.

In addition, 5 or so different colored/emblem team flags can be found strewn about the stadium, not to mention the visiting team waving them when they have a great play as well. Certain teams also have towels waving throughout the stadium (especially student section) or thundersticks clapping after big plays or before big plays in close games defensively.

These are things that need serious work as the crowd goes. Make it rewarding to score or make a big defensive play. Bring the team into the mix by feeding off of the crowd. Pointing at them and asking for noise on defense. After a touchdown the scoring player flipping the ball to the ref, then looking at the crowd while running a ways down the end line and nodding to them until their teammates engulf them in celebration. Team celebration with helmet slaps, jump and bumps, hugs, jumping on the back, linemen picking the rb up, head butts, the whole lot!!!!!

And after a field goal can we please get the kicker some love?! Granted it's so easy to kick a field goal in this game that you almost don't want to feel good for him, but he needs some high fives and some 'atta boy's' on the way to the sideline, at the very least. Need I mention a game winner? This is not an 'I kicked that one pretty good' moment! Team races onto field and takes his head off, and then crush him under a dog pile of excitement and stupidity!!! All the while for some reason the crowd erupts and goes bonkers for about 2 minutes, the band strikes up the fight song and the chanting begins!!! I'm staying away from the crowd rush the field thing until the crowd is more than box people, I can see it now.... We won DANG IT! WE WON, I should feel like I accomplished my life's goal right there in my living room!!! However, if you look at my kicker and listen to the announcers in this game, I question whether or not anyone actually saw it go through, and then I wonder....

As mentioned the sideline needs to have non-participating, but regular players that have interactions off the field too. Waving their player down the sideline on a big play, players and coaches stepping out onto the sideline/field in anticipation to get an angle at a pass towards the goal line. Holding up a helmet or fist or jumping around when their team scores, (head coaches holding up 1 or 2 fingers for PAT's, assistants going nuts with the players), avoiding collisions by jumping out of the way of an oncoming tackle, etc. And the sidelines need to be more packed with players and coaches. It's a tight-knit group on that sideline, and the "team" aspect of this game is really lacking because the players are all by themselves over there. There is NO excuse for the sideline players being digi-status, and un-reactive, because the crowd is obviously not taking away development time. At least they aren't clapping seals anymore, but is a waving manikin that much better???

Single player celebrations that earn penalties would be nice as well, but more than one or two, several randomized celebrations. Finding the opposing crowd and taunting, late activity between players on opposing teams in a rivalry game, spiking the ball, and early celebrations into the endzone should be available and flagged as well. And late hits out of bounds doggone it! Make this an option and a penalty most of the time, not every time but 85% so as to bring some anticipation to these plays and get your blood boiling when it's not called!!! If your player gets injured, your gonna be as furious as the head coach. Bring some excitement baby!

IF these particular deliberations were tied to crowd reactions by pumping up (or deflating) the home fans, and IF they were user controlled, but also used for the cpu team and pumped up for rivalry games, then it would make for some fun interaction and really add an atmosphere that is lacking as of now. It's really nothing too crazy and the excitement level of big plays is sorely lacking, if not altogether missing in this game. Football is played on emotion more then any other game in my opinion, because of the physical pounding on a weekly basis, make it look like that.

I think NCAA 2010 needs to go on the tagline - "Football. How you want it".

1. Ability to choose between a playoff or BCS and fully edit how you want the playoffs to be. 4,8,16,32 teams? Home and home? do you want to use bowls?conference champions? etc.
2. Be able to customize the conferences and add or take away championship game
3. First person camera
4. AD mode or Build a program mode. Be able to start a program from scratch and build it to a powerhouse. But make it hard for some regions. It would be harder to build a program in Texas, Florida, or California, than it would in like New York or Colorado due to the established teams they have there.
5. Change the celebrations to more realistic ones- like the jump, run into the endzone and flip the ball to the ref, Use of hand signals, more celebrations with teammates rather than the mascot.
6. More fluid no-huddle offense, with ability to look at the side-line and read hand-signals from the coaches to combat crowd noise. Also the defense can have speed substitutions to run someone in and out of the play.
7. Different offense and defense styles. Is a defense a speed defense or are they a hit you in your mouth defense, are they conservative, do they go for the big play. For offense, are they a dink and dunk?, do they run and play-action?, are they exclusively shotgun? Shotgun with wide splits?
8. Crazier atmosphere. College games are LOUD!!! More emphasis on crowd and band noise rather than noise on the field.
9. Use the ESPN interface more, also use the bottom line to scroll scores and news.

I'm not sure how long the EA servers will continue supporting NCAA 2009 but it would be nice to see the next version of NCAA support past dynasty versions. I know there are potentially new/different ratings and what not but it would be nice if the newer version of NCAA would be able to use the 2009 data to allow you to continue your current dynasty instead of having to start all over. How nice would it be to be able to go out and buy NCAA 2010 or 2011 and use the current team you have from NCAA 2009?

Really the only think i want is a playbook editor that doesn't suck like the playbook editor in head coach 09

I second anything said about bringing back create-a-team and FCS schools. I would say those were my favorite two things about the older games untill they were taken out. What could be more fun than building up a program from scratch in dynasty mode?

Create a school.
Create a play: this was in a PSONE version of the game and I loved it (might have been ncaa gamebreaker but I think it was FB)
COPY a PLayer: I love to create All-Conference Teams from the announcement at the end of the year. editing 600+ players takes time. Copy player would make this much easier.
The eye candy mentioned on here would be cool but I don't want it to take away from the game.
Roster and Skills online updates: PS3 and 360 could download updated rosters with the correct starters and more importantly, correct stats. Keep a running list of stats and starts and update them appropriately. AUTHENTICITY! ALABAMA got no love in 09's game. Colt McCoy=89 OVR?? Julio Jones was way underrated
Advanced Defenses: Others have mentioned, DF Hot routes are ok but it's to hard to call them when you want to change several players routes. Method for changing personel positions on the field for a single play. Stunts and PLayer to player assignments would be great too.
Maybe have a screen between playcalling and before line-up that allows the defense to select specific player(s) to defend a specific player, play, area, or hot route. If you call a corner blitz it would be great to be able to ensure your FS ends up covering the X reciever and not the MLB.
In addition to that, the ability to use formation subs for specific plays in the formation rather than for the entire formation. Bringing in a DB at MLB when the HB is too good to be covered by your MLB in a Nickel or Dime look but not having to commit the DB for the entire formation. When Blitzing or keeping RUN support, having the MLB back in the lineup w/o having to stop the game to change the positions in and out...Possibly others to come but my biggest two are

slinger, bama didn't get any love because they were expected to be a sub par sec team after going what 6-6 last year?

I think it was 7-6 :D, Great Game by your Gators by the way. Looking forward to them Proving the BCS is a joke by Wallopping OK. I understand that pre-season releases cannot be accurate. Look at GA and USC. Expected to have great years and end up just kind-of OK. Remember '05 (maybe '04) when Bama was pre-season #3 and they were dominate in the game but had a Horrid season. Imagine if your Gators end up with a late Miami look and come out in '12 or so with a mediocre rating in the game. It's hard to play on the harder diff settings with my FAV team knowing that they will get trounced by GA and struggle against ole miss when they are actually 12-1. A roster update method would seriously improve the rep of the game. I attempted to update my starters by simply renaming and renumbering them (i.e. used Terry Grants Stats for Glenn Coffee) but it didn't work because of noticable invarriables (such as Grants Higher Speed and Much Lower BRKTKL). Multiple Numbers on a custom roster needs to be added as well. You sometimes end up with the game pre-posting players with the same number but once you change it, you can only change it to numbers not currently used.

alright checc it out here it is

...i have been having dreams about it..thats how high my expectations are for this next game....this is what i envision......

1) AMAZING PLAYBOOKS on all the teams with 25 or so formations that the team really uses......a crapload of new plays...whether it be the zone read shovel, of the shovel option, they have GOT to make a way to shovel in this game....more hot routes..like a bubble screen hot route..a wr screen hot route...some other ones....

2) A NO HUDDLE OFFENSIVE SYSTEM....like if you choose no huddle..after every play the offense automatically lines up in a base formation, and the screen zooms into the qb armband and you pick a play and theres like twenty plays to choose from that you can pick out.......

3)JERSEY FABRICS like they did in madden 07, and ALL of the ALTERNATE JERSEYS...c'mon people i've been watching college football this year and there are some tight jerseys, and im like daang let me use this team..and i search for the alternate, and its not there......texas tech, and oklahoma state are good examples of this......

4)MORE PLAYBOOK STUFF.........did i mention playbooks let me get a little bit more in depth.....the zone read bubble..more hb directs... the counter option... the shovel option..the speed option reverse....the speed option pass... the triple option reverse...the flea flicker jet sweep....the motion wideout triple option reverse...better blocking schemes on the reads.... more diversified playbooks......like how florida runs a tight spread...mixed with single wing varients...and oregon runs a speed attack spread...... make there be wide reciever in-screens like in last gen..those plays were the best.. slot screens..... screens, SCREENS and more SCREENS, i see a crapload of hb slips screen, but what about the wideout ones????!!! also.... the shotgun pitch and toss...i rmember this play cause its the only run play the worked for auburn

5) MORE PLAYBOOK STUFF ...AGAIN...... i would really like the the option pass to work better..like have the button makers already there so you can throw on the run instead of having to stop for like three minutes....

6) THE OPTION GAME..........have button markers for the hb on a pitch option.....i think this is a possble genius idea because then you could maybe shovel if there is a third option guy..etc shovel option ADD IT!!!...i think this would take care of some things.... and the qb wouldn't pitch it behind the guy anymore.....

7)THE OPTION PITCH MOTION........ this is a pet peeve of mine!!! ......make the pitch motion ALOT smoother...have the qb actually look at the guy he pitches to instead of thrusting his arm forward as he looks up field and the ball magically goes to the hb.......i hate how it looks....

8)THE JUKING SYSTEM AND PLAYER CONTROL.........make the juking better...like have the little cuts and stuff be on the right stick..like if you move the right stick really quick he will do little cuts, and if you move it big and slow he'll do big jukes... i PERSONALLY think that EA should take the sprint button out entirely and have the speed of the guy based on how far the player push up on the left sticc....this would give the player better control over jukes and stuff...... I THINK anyway...... but this years is pretty cool too :)

9)DIFFERENT STYLES FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL PLAYER.....RUNNING STYLE ETC. this is a pretty big one on my list, i know that Jayrah and other people aprove of this....i think that they should have different styles for every player.. running style..throwing style for the qb...kicking and punting style for the k's and p's....kind of like NBA 2k did with the shooting....... i thought that was cool......if they had that it would be so much more realistic, if not at least make the really fast people like percy harvin not have an extremely long stride, that looks dumb

10)HELMETS AND FACEMASKS.......it would be a blessing if EA included ALL of the known facemasks and helmets in the game... like the new ones that i see ..... brandon spikes has one......

11) NEW AND IMPROVED ASSCESORIES.........onto asscesories.... i know sock length was better this year, but i like the real medium length socks that for instance Pat White wears, or Dennis Dixon wore....the medium sock lenght pretty much is a teaser cause it looks crappy so i have a solution have the player can choose how high the socks can go....like there can be a red line and the sock will go up that high, and the player can choose how high based on how high that line is....... ummmm more ascessories..... more cleats, TOWELS!!!!..every player wears one almost....and hand warmers.. those look cool too....... and armbands on the knees are A MUST this year people.... every skill position player wears armbands on his knees.... more gloves.... color gloves..the abiltiy to mix and match jerseys and pants.... that is a big one..... A BIG ONE....

12) MORE PLAYER STYLES i would also like to see different shotgun stances and hb stances and wr stances...and all of that good stuff....that goes bacc to the 2k thing...... i know its EA, but Ea could make a really good game..they just need dedicated people....

13)A PHYSICS ENGINE, OR AT LEAST A SMOOTHER ANIMATION ENGINEi would like to see some sort of a physics engine implemented into the game as well.....whenever a game has a physics engine it does super good..... GTA 4..... COD 4......both hits... if the game had a physics engine it would clean up alot of crap, but im pretty sure that they are not about to do that.
