League Scheduling: up to owner/ athletic director - all owners must schedule independently through personal messages...once final schedule is complete all owners must submit FINAL schedule to me via PM
Rules: Sim style - as real as possible in user vs. user games no going for it on any yardage past 4th & 5 (ex. 4th & 6= NO, 4th & 4= OK) just play reasonable but cheaters reported will be put on probation. (4th down rule is only in effect for the 1st and 3rd quarters and outside of 2 minutes in the 2nd & 4th quarters meaning in final 2 minutes of 2nd & 4th quarter anything goes)
Other notes: All-American Difficulty Level, 6-7 minute quarters, features left on. we will play this dynasty in a fast pace i hope you can keep up, in user vs user games only 1 reset is allowed and it must be mutual...and that doesn't mean quit if your losing. if cheating is happening report it immediately to me (stuntman87) via PM or message via PSN...if suspected of cheating your program will be placed on probation and will be placed under review...if reported again the program will be removed and replaced....

Ok so I figured since I hadn’t seen any posts about a mid-major online dynasty that I would make for specifically for the ps3 although the game is far from release I feel the more time we have to set this up the better it will be…..and I say WE because everyone will have input on how its ran…… the specifics are quite simple by mid – major I mean the teams available for selection are teams with an overall ratings of 79 or below in order to keep it somewhat on a level playing field.

The league will not start until I have received the complete roster file seeing that it has all the names and the league will run with the rosters that the commissioner.

We will play on the All- American skill level and play 6 or 7 minute quarters all other options such as injuries and ice the kickers stuff will be left on….

Custom schedules will be set up here……we will run a 12 man dynasty (we don’t have to be in the same conference) so after all 12 teams sign up I will post each teams schedule with the conference games highlighted because they are locked and everyone can set their flex games on the schedule to the teams they choose….I don’t thinks any game restarts should be allowed unless it is a User vs. User game and in that case only 1 restart is available and that doesn’t mean if your losing you quit on your user opponent the restart is only for disconnects. Depending upon the flow of the dynasty we will advance weeks every 5 days or as soon as everyone completes the allotted tasks for that week if sooner than 5 days.

BEFORE ANY GAMES ARE PLAYED WE WILL BEGIN A(N) UNRANKED GAME AGAINST EACH OTHER TO SEE WHO CAN CONNECT AND WHO HAS LAG ISSUES THEREFORE THOSE GAMES WILL NOT BE SCHEDULED.

At least 1 User Vs. User Game is required for Each Team

concerning the rosters yea we are gonna wait untill the i get the first roster file put up on this site it will be days rather than weeks.... but i also added everyone.....u can test connections with everyone else but i dont have ncaa 08 the only games i have is the show and gta 4 but within the days we are waiting for a roster file we can test our connection because we will only know how great the connections are using this years game.....and after that we can set our schedules accordingly because i would like 2-3 user vs user games in one season

honestly since he requested the game he has first dibbs on home games and it would only be fair....plus if i switch it to 8 home games for you he only will have 5 home games.....bringing in big games like your school to his school helps him in regards to recruiting.....so lets all be civil and allow him this game.....the league average is 6 home games honestly your tulsa game should be an away game also but since both of you have confirmed your schedules i will keep it "as is"......so with 7 home games this season i think your in a great position to succeed

I think the reason some people don't like you using Louisville is that they've had some recent success which could make recruiting easier. That and since they are in a BCS conference, they'll have a much easier time getting to a championshit game.

yeah a playoff would be great..something different, lets say the top 8 teams get in, but also about the louisville thing when i play in dynasty with them i dont really get that good of recruits intrested in me even if i go undefeated, i mean syracuse is in a bcs conference but they are horrible..and we lost to them last year lol, but i mean i can change teams if its a big deal i just dont think it will be that big of a advantage

I treat my secondary as just that, a secondary. If I have a weak safety and 3 solid corners, I will sub a corner into that safety spot. And occasionally I will sub a DE at DT. Is that ok?


Is this WR Direct mean that we can't run bubble screen?

I think that the Goal Line should be inside the 10 going in and the five backed up (if that made any sense)

yep you can change positions at the end of season but not during.......no players going both ways either they play wat position they were on circa release or they are riding pine......i will keep a close eye on the stats as well as the rosters to see if any switches were made.....not trying to sound mean or anything tho

we will test and guage the sliders depending upon the first few weeks into the dynasty......if the numbers are looking crazy things will be changed...... ie. quarter length, sliders......etc. but as of right now i never had any intentions on changing the sliders or anything.....maybe quarted length but that was it

BCS invites are in next-gen, but apparently its not in the online dynasties. there was an earlier post about this. i think it was soonerfan09 who posted about not having BCS conference invites in online dynasties. try the 2nd or 3rd page on this thread.

'Kevin Smith was the teams heart and soul last year, nearly breaking the single season rushing record with 2,567 yards rushing before opting to leave school early and go to the draft. He very well could be the starting RB for the Detroit Lions this year. While this may make UCF alumni proud, it leaves a gaping whole in the teams offensive production.

Junior Michael Greco and FR(rs) Joe Weatherford (younger brother of drew weatherford of FSU) will battle it out in pre-season to find out who will lead the Golden Knights this year. Greco is a JUCO transfer who played sparingly last year while Weatherford has football bloodlines and redshirted his freshman year. It will be interesting to see if Coach goes with youth over experience.

At Running back trying to step into the shoes of campus legend Kevin Smith will be Latavius Murray, rated a PS#43 by phil steele he is alsolisted on the 4th team of the Conference USA team for this season as an incoming true freshman. You will not see something like that in the major conferences, this kid could have an instant impact with the the QBs being lacking in experience.

Leading the way for UCF on the O-line will be 1st team conference USA OT Patrick Brown.

Phil Steele rates UCF's Defense as the top rated unit in C-USA. 1st team all conference selections SS Sha'Reff Rashad and CB Joe Burnett will lead this talented group intent on defending its C-USA Eastern division title. In Fact the TOP 7 tacklers on the team last year all return and 8 out of the top 9!

After posting a 10-4 record a year ago it will be tough to realise this type of success again. The knights need a few breaks to go their way but anything can happen in college football.

Coming off a 2-10 (1-6) season last year, the incredibly deep and experienced Huskies are looking to make some noise in the MAC under the tutledge of new head coach Jerry Kill. Don't let last season's record fool you, this Husky squad is for real. The Huskies are returning 20 starters (9 offense, 9 defense, 2 special team), 22 seniors, 55 letter-winners, including Sporting News Freshman All-American LB Alex Kube, and the reigning MAC MVP DE Larry English.

The highly successful Jerry Kill finally gets his shot at a FBS school, succeeding long time NIU coach Joe Novak, who retired after last season. Kill's impressive resume boasts a 104-57 head coaching record, including a 55-32 record and five playoff appearences during his 7 year run at FCS Southern Illinois University.

Among the returning starters on the offensive side of the ball will be Justin Anderson at tailback. Anderson ran for the Huskies 9th straight 1,000yd rushing season before he was injured late last season. NIU also returns last year's leading passer Dan Nicholson and leading receivers Matt Simon and Britt Davis, as well as, 4 out of the 5 starting offensive linemen.

there's a new update at http://freencaa09rosters.com/ about PS3 rosters. apparently, we won't get rosters until there is a patch, which could be a month or two.

i'm on the fence right now about whether we should start this or not. on one hand, i'm anxious to get this thing going, but then again i really want the rosters before i start playing it. does this new information affect the way you voted, too?

on a side note, i've been editting the rosters myself with no issues/freezes on an untainted file i started from scratch. i back up about 4 times per roster because its way easier to back up then restart. right now, i've completed air force - bowling green (about 15 teams, or just less than 10%). i'll continue to work as long as there's no rosters available for PS3. but at the rate i'm moving (2-4 teams per night, 8-12 on weekend days), i won't have them for about 3 weeks - provided the file doesn't go corrupt, of course. i would love help, but i'm reluctant to share the file since there may be corruption issues related to the EA Locker feature. i don't know if cdj or SEC21 are going to have these, but it doesn't sound like it. i'm remain optimistic since i haven't had issues yet.

good news - i have full rosters on PS3. i did a quick double check of some teams and i will confirm it is legit. i will upload the file into my EA locker. some guy just posted them in the official EA website forums.

the catch is that FIU ratings are glitched. they all default to zero. i don't know how stable this file is, so if you do download it, i wouldn't suggest editting anything until the patch is released.

is anyone opposed to using this file?

I wouldn't mind another dynasty to play in other than the BCS Rebuild dynasty. I only have one downfall. I live on a farm during the summer so all I get is dial up and have to go to a buddy's house to play.

I go back to school beginning of September so it would be a month of me being last person. I could let stuntman know and he could advance it and I would be able to play my next game as well.

I guess it also depends on how often you guys like to advance because he works for CN so he is on call so there may be some days I can't get to his place at which I suppose I'd accept the fate of a sim.

sweet. good to hear it. i don't know what's going on right now, but i guess stuntman accidentily forwarded the dynasty into week 2, without everyone finishing their week 1 stuff.

Quite honestly I figured we would be waiting for the roster patch since there seems to be problems with with OD and the current even if the players have been named.

At least that is what I am doing with my dynasty.

hookem is putting alot of work into this sim engine. i saw the thread last night for the first time and i must say its quite an involved project. props to you for bringing something worthwhile to the community. also, thanks for stepping down and letting us play. maybe we can play one sometime after you finish?

you can always join half way through, theirs nothing against that. Commish can add you at any time. It sucks not starting out the season but 1 year wont make much a difference if u really want to do it ;)

I just finished my game against UAB, and a message pops up saying:

I've retried it a few times already, but it still wont connect. I'm fixing to take my daughter home, and I'll try it when I get back. If it doesn't work then, I'm just going to turn it off and I can either play the game again tomorrow, or you can sim it.

I won the game 41-7 BTW.

sigh... i've noticed this, too. it sucks that 10 of us really want to play this thing, but one or two people can't make the commitment.

seriously, i say boot him and hookemhorns we'll run with the guys who do play.

and to all those who want in, be honest with yourself about your ability to make the time commitment required to stay on pace. if you're going to go on vacation or something, post a note in the "dynasty league central" or in this thread so everyone knows.
