Recently a few players have been asking for higher salaries so that they can train on intense every day. After reviewing the budget I do not think this is going to be possible. [You only gain 30% more from intense vs relaxed anyway.] I also realize that many players can't train on intense because they would never get their energy back up after games.

One of the reasons we are so good is because we have good players at every position and good backups. One reason we'll be good for years to come is the fact that we grew our stadium into one of the largest in the game. We will need to continue building the stadium up even if it's not to the degree of our first season. We will also b ready in season three to sell out all tickets on day one - we lost millions in revenue as we planned to raise the prices in several stages [based on season one's sales]. Instead we sold all our tickets and had to give %15 off for season ticket price to boot.

I will work up a total budget and send everyone new contracts here shortly so that we can both on the field now, and in future seasons. We can always adjust as the season goes along depending on results and current outlook...along with potential playoff money. I think we can take care of everyone but keep long term goals in the picture as well.

Anyway I just wanted to give a heads up that all salaries are under review and we may need to make changes.

How does training work? For more in-depth analysis, go to this thread: http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=78600
-----a. What’s the cost of training per day?
----------i. On relaxed = $10 x your level
----------ii. On normal = $75 x your level
----------iii. On intense = $200 x your level
-----b. What do you gain from training per day?
----------i. On relaxed = +15 in energy and a boost in an attribute of your choice
----------ii. On normal = +9 in energy and a boost in an attribute of your choice (18% more than relaxed)
----------iii. On intense = +3 in energy and a boost in an attribute of your choice (30% more than relaxed)
----------iv. You will also gain XP when you train, the amount is solely dependent upon your level. As your level increases, the amt of XP/day decreases.

Tubby, fyi, I've read on the forum that the "standard" rate of pay from owners nowadays is Level+4 x $100, when signing the contract. I took boosting into effect and made it Lvl+8x$100 for the Cobras.

That way all of my players should be able to at least train Normal all season.

But yes, with the exception of Kickers and Punters, there's almost no way guys will be able to train Intense consistently.

I was one of those asking, so I was just curious. It's crazy how much Intense training starts to cost later as guys get higher in levels.

Most of my guys can barely train at Normal right now, especially the fullbacks.

Ya ..I'd rather keep daily salaries low and dish out 60K bonuses for the level 16 equipment upgrade now. I'm working on it.

That's a great idea. In my first go-round looking into salaries, etc, rather than just playing, so I'm admittedly a little clueless right now.

I know we're going to have to restructure some contract by the middle of the season but my feeling is that the player should be able to train normal at his salary and if he wants to train intense great but the salary is not going to cover the cost. The Level+3(or 4) x $100 seems to cover this ground well.

I also like giving out more bonus money to help cover equipment costs.

Yeah, I'm pretty much following what Mandi said. If a player wants to train on intense, fine, but you're not going to be doing it very often because of playing time. Punters and kickers are the exception.

I'm almost finished working out details...but basically we'll rework everyones contract and get the 20+ guys in reach of level 16 pretty soon a 50-60K bonus for the equipment upgrade that comes with it.
