I wish they'd allow a 2-star and 1 stars become studs. for example OU has made its recent name with these diamond in the rough recruits. (Mark Clayton-Ravens, Mark Bradley-Bears, Quentin Griffin, Derrick Strait, Dan Cody-Ravens, heck, even Sam Bradford right now was a 2 star)

I wish they'd allow a 5-star to not pan out. Or simply not be as good as advertised, especially with QBs on O-lineman. Going back to OU, Rhett Bomar comes to mind, sure he MAY have gotten better after 2005, but the kid was the nations #2 ovr recruit, and #1 QB in 2004. Same recruiting class as Henne, Brohm, Anthony Morelli etc. and these guys were better than Rhett.

Finally, While i think these juco studs should be hit or miss, (See OU again, with #1JUCO Mike Reed) I think a 5 star juco should/could be rated in the upper 80s/lower 90s right off the bat.

yes, i know, ive been wishing for this stuff for years. I just think it would add to the realism

also, I like what EA has done with the whole "DNQ" thing during recruiting, well, save those recruits, and have them show up again 1-2- or 3 years later as JUCO recruits.

Although I get what you are wanting, I thought that maybe someone has led you astray on your star rankings.
Neither Scout nor rivals go back far enough for most of those players, they do have Sam Bradford and he was a 4star on Scout and a 3 star on rivals.
I'm kinda thinking that Clayton and Bradley were higher ranked as well.

Hopefully the JUCO icon this year will say wether the guy has two years left or three...

It wouldn't have to be nearly as big, but you could separate the two. It would be much easier. Schools that have traditionally gone after JUCO's like K-State would have more of a pipleline to the schools and generate more interest. Juco's aren't that big of a deal on the game because a 5* can come in at like 78 or something and have no way of making it to Madden.

I've noticed more on 08 than ever before that there are more 4* and 5* recruits that are lower OVR than their star rankings. I've had a 5* HB that came in as a 74 with 82 spd. I've also had 3* that are 77 or 78 and can play. I love the 2* that ends up being a 72 or 74.

I have done this numerous times. The key is to user controal the 1* or 2* and to use them in your spring drills. Playing as low rated player will help boost their ratings as and user should be much more effective than the CPU.

Also, for the 5* not panning out I have seen that too. I once created a prospect before recruiting on a dynasty that was 5* CB. I didn't land him, but I followed his play as 4yr starter at Colorado. He was not an all-american one time and his stats were pretty pathetic considering you loaded he was in his stats.

having diamonds in the rough and busts is a good idea i would also like to see everyonce in a while a stud that is ready for the nfl as a freshman. ex. adrian peterson. and i think one way to do this is you could send scouts to scout freshmen sophomores and junoirs in high school. then in the off season they give you there report and then you decide to scout them next year and get a more indepth report or scout someone else from that class. then you could see better how much potetial they have.
