Do not join any other teams or you may not be able to get off their squad and on to a Utopian team, contracts are binding.
Other owners will hold you freaking hostage and ask for large sums of money. We will not pay more than market value to get you on our teams so stay a free agent until we send you an offer.

Right now all new guys are going to have to come through Europe.
Because the players that started already will be more advanced they'll need some time to try and catch up.

If people drop out we'll also be able to bring them over easily and they'll be getting playing time in Europe vs sitting on a bench somewhere.

We only have 1 FB in our entire Utopian roster, I believe. If you create a FB you very well might end up on the Centerville(US) roster, but both positions have opennings, I believe. There is at least 1 OT spot in Europe available as well(our Triple A) like team.

Last night I figured I'd sign both my new players up on CPU teams that played early today that way I could get some experience and some extra cash while waiting for a contract offer. Some guy bought Hurley Gold's team before I could accept your contract offer for him though. I just PM'ed the owner asking for a release, so we'll see how that goes.

If I remember correctly, the Centerville games generally simulate somewhere around 2 PM EST, give or take a couple minutes.

And I don't think you can watch it. You just have to wait until the game is officially simmed and the final score shows up, and then you can go through and look at the replays and everything.

No problem. I don't know if you'll be starting this game or not. I just earlier today promised my current starting kicker the job.

Even though he's the worse of the two kickers on my team, the other had gone inactive for over 5 days, and he was improving so I gave him the start and promised him the job.

However, Utopians come above everyone else, so I am going to shoot him a PM and see what can be worked out. If he doesn't mind being a backup (since you are higher rated and a higher level than him), then you will get the start. If he doesn't want to be a backup, then I'll give him the chance to be traded to the team of his choice or I'll throw out an offer to teams wanting a kicker.

Either way, after today, you will be guaranteed the starting job.

Well, he's only kicked in one game, and that was because he requested it. The other kicker being inactive and sucking the game before pretty much won the argument in his favor.

I just PMed him and gave him three options. You start and he become the backup. You start and he be traded to the team of his choice. Or, you guys trade starts (IE: he starts this game, you start next game, he starts the game after that, etc). So we'll see what his answer is.

Plus if I would have went to Christchurch, I would have been torn when Christchurch plays Canberra in the championship game :D

I think that should be good. One problem I was having yesterday was figuring out what threads to read. Having the most important (for new players) threads in the Roster section was part of the problem, I believe. But having those announcements should take care of that issue.
