I'm new to the site and didn't know if anyone would be interested in my created team Franchise on Madden 08. I use to have a website but got rid of it so I after reading a lot of stuff for a couple of days on here and thought this would be a good idea and sign up.

FINALLY A PROFESSIONAL TEAM IS COMING TO LEXINGTON!!!!
(Tampa, FL) No it's not another Arena Football League Team, but the NFL is coming to your backyard here in Lexington. Officials out of Tampa say that they are fed up with the recent drop in attendance in the past 3 seasons after their first Super Bowl win in 2003. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers Franchise has chosen Lexington, Kentucky as their next home. "We couldn't be any more happier with our decision." Stated owner Malcom Glazer. "The fan support we have gotten over the last 3 years has been dismal. We were turning into the Devil Rays of Football and it was making me sick." The full name will be the Lexington Shamrocks, for of course our huge Irish Population in the Metro. Lexington was chosen over Louisville, Columbus, Ohio, Birmingham, AL, Los Angeles, CA, and Orlando, FL. "We really thought of moving the team to Los Angeles, but given the fan support the Raiders and Rams got when they were there, we felt like this would be a better fan base." When asked the question, how are you going to contend with 4 other NFL Franchises within an 5 hour drive of Lexington, Glazer stated, "Hopefully we can steal some fans from Louisville, and Covington and possible the Western corridor of the state. We would also like to draw into Indiana and part of Southeastern Ohio and Northern Tennessee. I have a great feeling about this city. They've wanted a professional franchise for a while and it's well deserved."
The down part of all this is that Glazer is cleaning house. Everyone from last has been sent into free agency. "I want to start from the ground up, give the people here in Northern Kentucky something to call their own." Today he named Norman Spivey as Head Coach. "Coach Spivey brings a lot to the table. He's going to do well for us." Coach Spivey last was the Associate Head Coach of Louisville, helping lead them to a Orange Bowl victory.
The team will be opening their season on September 9th at the Seattle Seahawks. Their home opener at O'Brien Stadium is set for September 16th against NFC Runner-Up from a year ago, and division foe New Orleans.

OUCH! Opening game for the Shamrocks is a tough one.
(Seattle, WA) Honestly, a lot of people in Lexington were getting excited about the regular season after a 4-0 preseason record. All those hopes were dimmed yesterday after the Rocks got slammed by the Seahawks 38-7. It was just not a pretty day at all for the Rocks as the Offense obtained only 193 yards of offense and had 5 turnovers. “It’s never great when you have 5 turnovers. We lost in every aspect of the game, we couldn’t stop their running game. Alexander played a tremendous game for them.” Alexander, the former Boone County High School standout and local native of Florence had 188 yards on the ground for 2 touchdowns. Quarterback Matt Hassellbeck also had a great day who went 15 of 20 for 174 yards and 1 touchdown.
The Rocks didn’t have hardly any success at all. Quarterback Jabari Farr, University of Oregon standout had one of those days. He was 11 of 18 with for 163 yards and 4 interceptions. “Farr had a bad game, everyone has those. Everyone just needs to pick him up and ride his back because he is our leader.” Coach Spivey stated after the game. “We just need to forget about this game and start looking toward New Orleans.”
The Rocks will face off against the New Orleans Saints next Sunday at 1:00 at O’Brien Stadium. New Orleans is coming off a 36-35 win over the Colts last Thursday.

Is it really? I'm a big Bucs fan and I figured, if I can't play as someone, might as well be the Bucs because I don't want to play against them

Rocks Get First Franchise Win Over Saints
(Lexington, KY) The home opener for the Rocks (1-1) was not a disappointing one. The Rocks hammered the Saints (1-1) 52-7 on a brilliant production on the ground by Jermaine Baker. Baker was 30 carries for 133 yards and 3 touchdowns the lead the Rocks. “Baker had a great game for us. When we needed him most in the red zone he stepped up.” Coach Spivey stated at the post-game press conference.
Baker wasn’t the only one that stepped up, the Rocks D was also huge in the game. The D forced 3 turnovers, all 3 of which were fumbles. “We were pretty mad after our showing last week.” Defensive Tackle Matt Terry stated, who returned a fumble for a touchdown. “Coach (Spivey) got onto us pretty hard on Monday, and we had been ready to get out there since then.”
The Shamrock have time little rest as they are set to host the rival St. Louis Rams on Sunday at 1 on FOX56. The Rams are 1-1 on the year with a win against San Francisco last week, but a overtime loss to Carolina the first week 33-30.

Shamrocks down Rams 28-16
(Lexington, KY) You know the day is going great when you walk outside in the morning, get your morning paper, sit down in your favorite recliner, with your cup of joe, when all of the sudden you find a 20 dollar bill in your pocket you didn't know you didn't have. That's how the Rocks (2-1) felt right when the game started when Middle Lineback Ted Mickens picks off Rams (1-2) Quarterback Marc Bulger pass and returns it to the 1. 3 Seconds later, Rocks are up 7-0. The Rocks would go onto to win this game 28-16.
"If you would've asked me if we would be 2-1 right after playing the Seahawks, Falcons, and Rams, I would've said get lost, but for some reason, this team is clicking." Coach Spivey said at the press conference. "Right now, our team feels very invisible and they have every right to be. We came out, executed when we had to and never looked back."
The was not as close as the score indicates as the Rams didn't record a touchdown until late in the 4th Quarter. The Rocks would strike first after the interception by Mickens, Jermaine Baker punched it in from 5 yards out and took the lead 7-0. After a pair of field goals by the Wilkins of the Rams, J. Farr connected with Jermaine Baker from 12 yards out to make the score 14-6 with 3:31 in the first half. With 14 seconds left, Farr connected again, but this time to LeMarcus Wheeler for a 9 yard Touchdown pass to make the 21-6 at halftime and the Rocks never looked back.
The Rocks will hit the road next Sunday as they travel to Charlotte to take on the 2-1 Panthers. Gametime is set for 4:05 ET on FOX56.

I'm sorry for the delay guys. I promise I will get some more stuff soon because I've ran into this week a tough class schedule and work schedule. The Intramural Department won't give me a break. Also I was asking if anyone is still reading this so I can keep this going. If not, I'll stop posting.

I'm reading, man. Just keep going, as long as you're having fun. I know as a new guy, you're really not sure if you're getting anyone's attention, but if you keep at it and show people you're serious, they'll come. That's usually how it works. Just hang it there.
Don't mean to hijack your thread, man, but are you going to "the game" this weekend?

Rocks go into hostile territory, but escape 28-21
(Charlotte, NC) You go into the NFL Stadiums as a broken down new franchise, well not new, but new to the standards of talent. The Rocks went into Charlotte with riding a 2 game win streak and feeling on top of the world, but the Panthers had something to say about it. The Rocks who had a 21-7 going into 4th almost seen that slip away. "I felt like we almost thought the game was won. Our players had the demeaner of, well this is going to be like the Rams game so we can just go 3 and out and there wouldn't be anny problems." Coach Spivey stated after the game. Jake Delhomme connected with a 4 yard pass to Keary Colbert to cut the deficit to 7 to 21-14 with 4:20 remaining. After the kickoff and 2 plays later, Halfback Jermaine Baker completed an outstanding performance with a 52 yard touchdown run to make back to a 14 point ballgame at 28-14 with 1:21 left. The Panthers answered right back with the no huddle and Jake Delhomme connected with a 16 yard pass to paydirt to Steve Smith to cut it back with 7 at 28-21 with 21 ticks remaining. The Panthers would onside and get the ball back.
"Ball on 32, 4 seconds left in the ballgame. The Panthers have ran the no huddle the entire 4th quarter. No doubt the Panthers will be looking for one more heave to the endzone." Radio Announcer Steve Jenkins blasted through on the speakers at The Pub in Lexington. "Delhomme in the Shotgun, takes the snap, looks left, looks right, left again, sees Smith in the endzone, throws........ITS CAUGHT AT THE 5!! He leaps toward the endzone and.....COMES UP SHORT!!! ROCKS WIN!!! GIMMINIE CHRISTMAS THE ROCKS WIN!!"
"We played a poor 4th quarter on D." Strong Safety Dustin Strauser stated after the game. "We need to get better recognition on the pass in the backfield, including me. The hurry up caught us off-guard, but it shouldn't. We should expect that from team trailing in the 4th."
"Hopefully it was a wakeup call to our defense" Spivey stated. "We can't play like that next week against the Colts, if so, we won't come out happy next Sunday."
The Rocks will take with 3 game win streak back on the road this Sunday as they make the 3 hour trip up Northwest to Indianapolis as they battle the recent struggling Colts. Gametime is set for 4:05 ET on FOX56
