We need to have two threads, one for AA and one for Heisman. Since I'm playing on Heisman I'm going to make the Heisman thread. AA is good, but I wanted to CPU to actually generate some offense. The only problem I've had with Heisman is that it's so hard to get your offense going. I'm still tweaking sliders so I'll post mine soon. Feel free to post yours.

Been messing around with Heisman sliders. Just got done with a dynasty game it was MSU (me) v. OSU. I really had no business in the game and lost it 34-31 as I missed a FG. I was up on them 17-0 in the first qtr on account of 3 INTs. The INT problem sucks balls, but OSU dominated me in stats and I was really happy about that. My next game is against Iowa and I'm going to tweak and few things and see how the sliders play when I match up evenly.

I too am working on a set of heisman sliders with a friend of mine who will play a dynasty with me. I am getting closer and they are going to be quite a bit different then anything I have read so far on other forums. I tried all of their sliders but had zero success with them for various reasons. I am still having a lot of trouble getting a combination of a pass rush on the CPU and a CPU running game. I don't know how to get both of those fixed without breaking the other one.

I have no idea wtf is up, but I can not get the ball moving on offense on Heisman - and that's with WVU's offense. All I know is my line has 3 85+, and two 90+, and they can't hold a block worth a shit ...

another problem i am seeing with heisman is a lack of difference between good and bad CPU teams. I think this is due to the INTs issue and inability to get pressure on the CPU. I think maybe AA is gonna be the way with drastic sliders...

I'm working on some Heisman sliders right now that have solved my offensive problems. Right now I'm up on Louisville at the half 28-17. I'll go two more games with these and post them if they keep going good.

Just finished up a game in my dynasty ... second year.

#2 West Virginia: 56
#11 Louisville: 52

WVU/Louisville

First Downs: 27/18
Total Offense: 612/654
Rushes-Yards-TD: 42-273-3 / 16-149-2
Comp-Att-TD: 24-29-5 / 26- 7-5
Passing Yards: 339 / 505
Turnovers: 3 / 2
Fumbles: 2 / 1
Interceptions: 1 / 1

Overall a great game, went down to the wire. I scored with 29 seconds left on the clock, and I held them in the end, but they had driven down the field pretty dar and on DB missed a tackle, and another saved the game. Obviously the score was high, but look at the two teams I had. I was playing 7 minute quarters, so I might kick it down to 6, we'll see.

Okay just played another game with them

#17 Notre Dame: 27
#2 West Virginia: 46

WVU/ND
Total Offense: 460 / 415
Rushes-Yards-TD: 58-332-6 / 15-47-0
Passes-Yards-TD: 9-11-0 / 25-32-4
Passing Yards: 128 / 378
Turnovers: 2 / 2
Fumbles: 2 / 1
Interceptions: 0 / 2

Another good game overall. Notre Dame had three losses, all to good teams, and their five wins were over some pretty average teams. Needless to say, my A offense went right over them. Notre Dame had a good passing attack the whole game, but I owned the T.O.P. with my running game, I'm really liking these sliders.

Without further delay, here's the sliders.

Difficulty: Heisman
Qtr Length: 7 minutes

Human/CPU
Offense
QB Accuracy: 85/55
Pass Blocking: 100/10
WR Catching: 50/50
RB Ability: 75/70
Run Blocking: 100/60

Defense
Awareness: 50/40
Knockdowns: 50/10
Interceptions: 50/20
Break Block: 60/40
Tackling: 75/40

Test em' out and tell me what you think. I went ahead and played a series of my bowl game coming up, and Wisconsin drove down the field and scored, and then held me and made me punt in 7 plays.

I'm going to try these in about a half hour or so I'll let you know how they go.. They are pretty close to the way my sliders are set up for now.

Heisman is fucking gay. No matter what defenseive set I run the computer completes nearly every pass play. I run Cover 2,3,4, combo, blitz anything and everything and my DBs are too stupid to knockdown a pass. The best is when my guys play a zone coverage and my DBs sit in there zone and play pass defense from behind? How fucking stupid is that? My DB is playing a flat zone which means take away the flats and underneath route, yet he is playing behind the receiver running a curl. Unbelievable. My last game I played against Notre Dame in my 2nd year of my dynasty and I had a 21-7 lead with less than a 1:30 left in the game. They drive down the field as Sharplehy completes every pass and scores a TD. Then the CPU gets the onside kick somehow and proceeds to drive 70 yards as I play the prevent defense and score another TD.

Greta job EA. My DBs are fucking morons. I call the right plays and put them in positions to make plays. Yet, they still suck. Sharpley was 34-48 for 350 yards and 3 TDs. So dumb, I'm going back down to AA again.

one issue that i noticed on heisman was a lack in calibur difference when I played the CPU. i couldn't tell that much of a difference when playing Duke versus Texas like I should. Both seemed like the CPU was gonna do what it wanted for the most part. Does anyone else feel like this?

I would love to go to AA for the reason you listed, but it's just way too easy IMO, especially if you're thumb jockying to it's full extent. I can take a regular HB dive, and take it to the house on AA. Plus, there's a HUGE lack of CPU offensive production. :(

I totally agree on the lack of CPU offensive production. However I wont be happy until I feel there is a huge difference between playing USC compared to say Duke. I got some work to do....

I never solved that problem on Heismann in '07. What I did was only play teams that were at least a B overall, and simmed games against B- and lower. That way I could tune my sliders to just get tough, fair games against talented teams.

I wouldn't be surprised if we ran into the same problem in '08. The boosts CPU teams get on Heismann are so big it makes the relative difference between teams like Texas and Duke a lot smaller than on any other level.
