Can anyone give me some passing tips on AA?
Playing as FSU, I have the 117th ranked offense - dead last.. and my passing game is 112th in the nation.

Sounds like you need running help even more.
Tune the sliders until you do a little better.
Also, use the strengths of you offense. I wouldn't advise running behind the right guard, his ratings are substancially lower than the rest of the Oline.
When running, use the fullback as a lead blocker, but use 3 wr's to spread out the defense. FSU tight ends aren't very good, so spreading out the defense, using the fullback as a lead blocker, and running at your left guiard would be a good start for the running game.
As for passing, try to follow the progression of the play. Most plays will have different receivers come open at different time. Study the play before selecting it, and don't force a pass.

Jeff, is that you?
You need to practice your formations, learn your playbook, vs zone and man. My advice since the practice mode stinks, is to use play now vs a terrible team. That's as close as you'll get to random plays. Use one and only one formation from your book in the first half. Learn it, live it, love it (use 15 min qtrs to get more plays in). Switch to a different formation in the second half. Replay after EVERY offensive play. Make sure you identify what defense they were in in the replay and watch where things were open, etc.
You can also make some reads very easily based on your formation. If you line up with 'twins' formations, you'll generally be able to immediately tell if you are facing man or zone because of how the CB's line up. So, you could choose a book based on those kinds of formations until you get more comfortable.

To add to what fluff said, super sim while you are on defense to get more practice on offense.

If your offense is 117, and your passing is 112, then your running should be worse than your passing. If you are having over 100 yards, something is wrong statistically.

Try this. I'm doing it now and it seems to be working.
It seems like it's really more about timing. Use the auto qb drop and when he's done and plants his feet you should be looking to your primary receiver. I'm doing this right now in a game as Nebraska hosting Oklahoma and I'm 9-11 for 119 Yds and a TD in the first quarter with Sam Keller. Thankfully, this game shows you the primary receiver.

Does anyone throw for a good amount of yards and high completion percentage on here? If so, share your tips!

Tip-The DB's in this game are better than ever before. You aren't going to be able to just lob the ball up, unless you have a tall wide receiver who will get good position.
For a lot of yards and a high completion percentage, utilize the flats. You can move the ball down the field by hitting tight ends over the middle for short gains, and if your WR's aren't open downfield, dump the ball off to your HB/FB in the flats. They won't run forever, but often they will pick up 5-10 yards. For me, it seems like the fullback is rarely covered, especially if you go out of the I formation and use 3 WR's.
Like I said before, your best bet is to spread the defense out so you can immediately see if you will have any mismatches or open receivers.

As I'm being more analytical with what I'm doing, I'm learning more and more. While some of what I say is probably obvious to the experts, these are things I never really thought about until now, and I would imagine that others are the same way.
-If you spread the field out with 4 or more Wr's, then have your other "weapon" go out into the flat. Watch for a blitz. Assuming the defense is in man to man coverage, you should be able to throw to the WR that appeared to be covered by the guy blitzing. If the defense is in zone, you should be able to dump the ball off to your HB/TE in the flat for a substancial gain.

I know everyone has a different style, but I actually do get some usefulness out of practice mode. I pick the Option rout plays (TE option, X option, etc.,...) and run it over and over vs Man, Man 2, cover 1, Cover 2, Cover 3, Cover 4, Engage eight, and house blitz defensive plays. It helps me see different openings in the defenses and I can also tell what the defense is running, so if I can see the defense several times, I can see where the holes are going to be, and then throw where the holes are.

Here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_football_strategy#Coverage_Shells) is some good information on Coverage Shells. Wikipedia rules. :D I normally don't even screw with practice mode but I see I have to. I did it initially to see if the AI had any tipoffs but they don't. Sometimes they slide over the top of a slot WR with Man coverage underneath and sometimes they do it in zone. It looks like 08 is going to require reading post-snap as well. My aim now is to get to know what quick read to make post-snap to tell which WR I need to go to.
The only thing that I glean from practice mode right now is that the safety in man coverage ALWAYS walks up...I think.
Hope that link helps someone.

Does anyone else not like the fact that the wide receivers do a 180 spin to catch a deep ball on their chest, instead of catching the ball over the shoulder? WTF! NCAA, why would they not include that very real movement that WR's do every Saturday? Anyone know if you can manually control the receiver to perform the over the shoulder catch?

You need to lob the ball, and throw to the outside shulder. I always take a shot at the endzone as soon as I cross mid field. I average 1 or 2 completed deep balls (over 40yds) a game in my dynasty. You gotta catch the defence in cover 1 or man free.
