good to see Tennessee's double stripe on the pants made it in the game.

There is a lot of fatties on the South Carolina sideline.

There is a lot of fatties on the South Carolina sideline.

That's one thing from playing that stuck out....the sideline players are all the same size and for some reason no matter the team, they all have blue facemasks. [rock] Maybe the facemask issue will get fixed before release.

The game looks great! In fact I may make a run to GameStop and pre-pay for the game this afternoon. July 17 will be here before we know it.[smile]

Why is every visor dark on the next gen consoles? EA does realize that dark visors are far less common than clear ones, mainly because the NCAA banned dark visors unless the player has special permission. That Texas/TCU screen looks horrible.

My bet would be that it would be really hard to render the models with clear visors along with everything else that has to be rendered. With dark visors, you don't have to render the players face whereas with a clear you'd have to render the face, plus render some distortion as well as sunlight reflecting, etc.

So basically it's laziness on EA's part. Sure, let's throw "Leadership Control" or whatever in there, but we'll also totally ignore an NCAA rule.

It's a game. It's not supposed to be realistic to the most minute detail.;)

I realize that, but EA took out "storming the field" a few years ago because the NCAA wouldn't allow it, yet they've got a blatant violation of NCAA rules on every player who wears a visor in the game.

But at least this lets us know that Under Armour will be in the game. Maryland vs. South Carolina. Tech vs. Auburn. They released these to show us UA is in the game. I can't believe they actually got Tech's unis correct. I believe this is the first time since about 2003. I'm pumped.

Storming the field was in? When was this? I never saw it in game. Oh well. [laugh]
I'm sure that next year when they get all the stadiums into the game that this problem will be resolved though. My .02 cents

actually I was more meaning it as maybe the systems aren't capable of rendering clear facemasks in addition to the 140 players, cheerleaders, fans, 2 mile radius around the very well nearly recreated stadiums, etc.. These are next gen systems but that doesn't mean they can render all of our hopes and wishes...

Would "incompetent" make you feel better? I know you're all giddy over the fact that Robertson Stadium is "in the game" this year, but that doesn't change the fact that there are stupid things like this in every version. It's not a major concern that will make or break the game, but a little consistency with following the NCAA's rules would be nice.

I don't remember the year, it was either '04 or '05. Once EA started promoting it, the big, bad NCAA put their foot down.

That is true, but I'd rather see the correct equipment (including the DNA helmets) on players in the stadium than a tree 700 yards away.

You are correct SW. I believe it was '04' that "Tearing down the goal posts" was due in the game....and ya, the Ncaa supposedly stepped in.

Make me feel better? Not really. But at least it's more accurate than some dude on a message board calling people who work 60-80 hour work weeks "lazy".

"Lazy" takes less time to type than "incompetent".

Yes, I realize the huge amount of irony in that sentence. I'm making fun of myself for overreacting.

That Tennessee player is getting Tebowned in a major way.

I don't agree with the dark visors, but at least they got the details of the visors in the game. Like the tabs on the upper corners and the hardware that secures the visors in place.

Tebow is gonna be hard to stop with 90 break tackle.

So they can render the clear visors on current gen, but not next-gen?

If 1-AA teams made it into Next Gen perhaps you would have your wish.
