dshban is back and better than ever, not that he was good before

FLAMINGO, Fl. (AP) — I can hear the cries and moans already.

"But dsh, you're doing the New ACC Dynasty!" "But dsh, that's the third created team dynasty you've started in the past few months, and the fourth single-team dynasty you've started on NCAA '07!"

Shut up! Yes, I know that! I'm not mentally challenged!

Of course, no-one is actually saying this (waits for the hilarious responses saying those things), it's just in my pessimistic mind. But the point still stands that I've been less faithful than Paris Hilton. (Insert laugh track here.)

Why is this dynasty going to be different, I hear no-one say. Well, I'm not going to be doing any gimmicks. No podcasts. No newspaper setting out. Just game reports, with images, writing and stats, like the good old days of James Madison.

Now off of my favourite topic, myself, and onto the team. Why have I chosen... well, created, Florida Tech?

I don't know. I just did. I was playing around with the uniforms and I found a combination that I really like (trust me, you'll like them. Not like those abominations for Timbledale). Then I saw the Pirate logo and went, "Yarrrrrrrrrr. I like it." Plus, I've been getting the itch to actually do a dynasty, and I always report my dynasties, so here we are.

Oh, I almost forgot. I brought up Florida A&M with me as my rival. Why? Stop asking. I didn't. Oh. You're talking to yourself. I know.

Don't expect anything too flash. Don't expect this to last forever, although I'll try my darndest to not abandon this. I'm still doing the New ACC Dynasty, this is just a side-project.

I hope you'll all enjoy it.

DYNASTY RULES

http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u281/dshban007/pirates_bullet.jpg PLATFORM: Xbox
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u281/dshban007/pirates_bullet.jpg MODE: All-American
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u281/dshban007/pirates_bullet.jpg GAME LENGTH: 7 minute quarters
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u281/dshban007/pirates_bullet.jpg SLIDERS: Regular sliders with an absurd amount of tweaking.
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u281/dshban007/pirates_bullet.jpg ROSTERS: Downloaded ones with names on them - no edits by me. Florida Tech is an academic team with mild edits to make things different to the default created academic team.
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u281/dshban007/pirates_bullet.jpg BUDGETS: I'll do what I damn well feel like.
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u281/dshban007/pirates_bullet.jpg IN-SEASON RECRUITING: I'll only target 5 players. This seems to be the maximum I can sign, and gives more points to the targets I do have.
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u281/dshban007/pirates_bullet.jpg RECRUITING: I suck at recruiting, so no regulations on it.
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u281/dshban007/pirates_bullet.jpg RED-SHIRTING: Only true freshmen can be red-shirted. If they’re good enough to be in the two-deep depth chart, they must play.
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u281/dshban007/pirates_bullet.jpg DISCIPLINE: What's discipline? Oh, right. I'll do whatever the recommended dosage is.
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u281/dshban007/pirates_bullet.jpg GAMEPLAY: Whatever I want. It doesn't matter, I'm hopeless.
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u281/dshban007/pirates_bullet.jpg SUBS: I'll do mass subs if somehow we get ahead by, say, 35 points. Or 28 in the final quarter. Otherwise, I don't actually do subs and fatigue.
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u281/dshban007/pirates_bullet.jpg SCHEDULING: When in a conference, I will play two home games and two road games. Out of conference, such as when I'm an Indy, I will schedule basically whoever I like. Some regulations - no top 25 teams at home until I'm at least 4-star prestige, no I-AA teams, basic stuff like that.
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u281/dshban007/pirates_bullet.jpg PLAYBOOK: For the first season, at least, I'm using USC. I figure we have two impact receivers, they have two impact receivers, it'll all work out. Wait, that makes too much sense for it to be something I said... OK, we're using it because it'll make us as good as So Cal. Yeah, there we go. Ridiculous-ness.
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u281/dshban007/pirates_bullet.jpg POSTING REQUESTS: I appreciate anyone who takes the time to post on my thread, but please follow some simple requests. Please don’t come on after every game and just post “good win” or “tough loss” and nothing else. Please don’t quote large chunks of copy, such as the entire report with game stats and screenshot. Also, please use private messages for any questions about how I do screenshots, get stats to line up, etc. Another thing is that if you see a typo or some other kind of error on my posts, please just a PM to notify me rather than posting it on the thread. I try to keep a neat and tidy thread and would appreciate any help in keeping it that way. (Paragraph stolen from BDawg.)

2006 FLORIDA TECH SCHEDULE

http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u281/dshban007/KStateBar.jpg SEPT. 9 — at KANSAS STATE
PRESEASON RANKING: No. 51
TEAM GRADES: B OVR, B- offense, B- defense, A+ special teams
PLAYER TO WATCH: WR Jordy Nelson is an impact receiver 87 OVR with 93 SPD, so he'll most likely go for about 5000 yards against us. Also, the Wildcats' A+ special teams contains a kicker named Snodgrass.

http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u281/dshban007/aTmBar.jpg SEPT. 16 — at TEXAS A&M
PRESEASON RANKING: No. 44
TEAM GRADES: B OVR, B offense, B defense, B- special teams
PLAYER TO WATCH: Impact halfback Courtney Lewis is 90 OVR with 91 SPD, and was chosen on 1st All-Big 12 team this pre-season. Watch him annihilate our defense. Impact middle linebacker Justin Warren is 90 OVR with 80 SPD, and was chosen as the Aggies' defensive captain. Watch him annihilate our offense.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v105/BKhan35/CollegeBars/BuffaloBar.jpg SEPT. 23 — at BUFFALO
PRESEASON RANKING: No. 113
TEAM GRADES: C+ OVR, C offense, C+ defense, B special teams
PLAYER TO WATCH: Heh, Willy. Sophomore quarterback Drew Willy is 84 OVR, the second best on the team. Jeesh, that's pretty good for a sophomore. Heck, that's pretty good for a MAC quarterback. Fortunately he only has 68 SPD, so he can't run for thousands of yards against us. Just hundreds.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v105/BKhan35/CollegeBars/RiceBar.jpg SEPT. 30 — RICE
PRESEASON RANKING: No. 114
TEAM GRADES: C+ OVR, C offense, B defense, C+ special teams
PLAYER TO WATCH: Punter Jared Scruggs... no. Why does Rice have an impact PUNTER? Why? 10 points better OVR than anyone else on the team? Jeesh. Those guys who are 10 points worse than the punter are strong safety Chad Price and impact free safety Andrey Downs. Here's an idea, let's not throw deep.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v105/BKhan35/CollegeBars/AkronBar.jpg OCT. 7 — AKRON
PRESEASON RANKING: No. 70
TEAM GRADES: C+ OVR, B- offense, C defense, B special teams
PLAYER TO WATCH: QB Luke Getsy is an impact player along with being a transfer from Pitt. The former Panther, now a Zip, is a 1st team All-MAC representative at 88 OVR. He'll pass for many, many yards on us. He'll be well protected by 85 OVR left tackle Tim Crouch, although to be fair, I could block the Pirates' defensive line.

http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u281/dshban007/FIUBar.jpg OCT. 14 — at FIU
PRESEASON RANKING: No. 115
TEAM GRADES: C OVR, C offense, C+ defense, B- special teams
PLAYER TO WATCH: The Panthers are not only accomplished brawlers, but... uhh... they have an impact quarterback? Josh Padrick, a white guy on what seems to be an all-black team (not racist), is 82 OVR and should trouble the Pirates. As would a blind cripple whom was missing all their limbs.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v105/BKhan35/CollegeBars/UCLABar.jpg OCT. 21 — at UCLA
PRESEASON RANKING: No. 33
TEAM GRADES: B OVR, B- offense, B- defense, A+ special teams
PLAYER TO WATCH: Ben Olson is an 85 OVR quarterback. Uhh... yeah. Nothing special about him, I just recognised the name. Also, kicker Justin Medlock is 93 OVR and HOLY CRAP his backup Kai Forbath is 85 OVR as a true frosh. OK, that's not that surprising, but seeing someone with such a high OVR after looking at Florida Tech for the past few hours is a change of pace.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v105/BKhan35/CollegeBars/NIUBar.jpg OCT. 28 — NORTHERN ILLINOIS
PRESEASON RANKING: No. 54
TEAM GRADES: B+ OVR, B offense, B defense, B special teams
PLAYER TO WATCH: 94 OVR impact halfback Garrett Wolfe is only 5'7", but the 1st team All-MAC representative has 94 SPD and will most likely run over our defense. Yes, I said over. He's stronger than most of our players. Some linemen, too, which is really quite ridiculous.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v105/BKhan35/CollegeBars/BallStateBar.jpg NOV. 3 — BALL STATE
PRESEASON RANKING: No. 106
TEAM GRADES: C+ OVR, C+ offense, C- defense, B special teams
PLAYER TO WATCH: Defensive captain Erik Keys is a 90 OVR impact strong safety who looks to grab a few picks for the Cardinals vs Florida Tech. I don't know that this is going to happen, I just presume so because he's good and we're not.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v105/BKhan35/CollegeBars/KentStateBar.jpg NOV. 11 — KENT STATE
PRESEASON RANKING: No. 111
TEAM GRADES: B- OVR, C+ offense, B defense, B+ special teams
PLAYER TO WATCH: Wait, there isn't a state of Kent. What is this, England? Either way, the Golden Flashes have a great player in 84 OVR impact wide receiver Najah Pruden. I vaguely remember him from Jack Ryan's dynasty. He has 90 SPD, which is 12 more points than the best on the Pirates. Yikes.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v105/BKhan35/CollegeBars/NDBar.jpg NOV. 18 — at NOTRE DAME
PRESEASON RANKING: No. 3
TEAM GRADES: A+ OVR, A+ offense, A- defense, B special teams
PLAYER TO WATCH: Quarterback Brady Quinn is a douchebag. He is 97 OVR, and also likes to choke in big games. He enjoys long walks on the beach, along with throwing picks and getting sacked against Michigan. Impact player compatriots Tom Zbikowski and Jeff Samardzija are boxers and pitchers, respectively. Go back to your own sports, ----ies.

http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u281/dshban007/aFmBar.jpg DEC. 2 — FLORIDA A&M
PRESEASON RANKING: No. 118
TEAM GRADES: D- OVR, D- offense, D- defense, D- special teams
PLAYER TO WATCH: Impact quarterback, QB #8, is 82 OVR and looks to do well against a pourous Florida Tech defense. He's the main reason the Rattlers are ranked #118 and the Pirates are ranked #119. This is the only game where we have a shot, and it's only a small one. Let's hope for the best.

And of course, none of it mine. :D It is like a greatest hits. And damn it looks good, I feel. Especially the schedule. I love that layout.

I'm on holidays, I'm impatient and I have a short attention span. What can I say, I need something to keep my interest.

I was going to make a joke about pounding and your girlfriend (you've mentioned before she's a nymph), but I decided not to for fear of you running after me, obviously catching me, and beating me up.

lmfao. [laugh][laugh][laugh] hold on one second i need to explain this one.

i opened dsh's dynasty, and all of a sudden, dream's - he loves you not started playing. i was like, why the hell is dsh's dynasty playing music? it was pretty sweet. then i realized what the song was and a mass confusion came over me. why would dsh's dynasty be jamming to chick rock? then i realized one second earlier i opened someone's page on myspace in a different tab.

B-CC is actually closer to your school that FAMU is considering Daytona is in the middle of FLA.

I look at it this way if you are able to convince her to let you have it you deserve it because she loves me for some odd reason and won't even think about being with someone else.:p

Season outlook:

at KANSAS STATE - You probaly will score, but they'll score 80.
at TEXAS A&M - You may score, but they'll score alot more.
at BUFFALO - You'll score, but they'll still win, because the MAC is very hard for a D overall team.
RICE - The punts will be muffed. Yeah, but you'll score. But, the punter, will not. :p Loss.
AKRON - Akron, of the MAC is deadly against teams worse than them, but you'll score somehow.
at FIU - Oh, a sun belt team will melt your uh, Techians.
at UCLA - UCLA could put up alot, oh yes.
NORTHERN ILLINOIS - WOLFE WOLFE WOLFE - = Wolfe will run all over the Techians of Florida.
BALL STATE - Ball State shouldn't have any promblems with the ball, but you'll score.
at NOTRE DAME - You'll win this game, because NCAA 07 likes to make ND 1-9 and lose to michigan by 60. Just put in all the 300pd guys and injure the whole team, and you'll win. Techians 16-15.9, because the refs will be distracted by the cheerleaders.
FLORIDA A&M - You'll lose this game by about 80 points, because you're players are overreacting to Notre Dame.

1-11

EDIT: Followup- Yeah, ND and FAM should be switched, You have a chance at beating FAMU Only.

Well, I'd rather beat Notre Dame than anyone else, so I'd be happy with that.

Having said that, we're now gonna go 0-12.

Thanks for the reply.

I might try and play a game today.

I just finished my 6th season on 07 and ND has lost an aggregate of about 7 games in those 6 seasons, in which the Irish have won 2 national titles. Granted, 3-4 of those losses were to Michigan.

HB McKinley Massey (left) completes a halfback pass to QB Kyler Mooney (right). Yes, I chose that play. Shut up.

Florida Tech shut out by Kansas State in first game ever, 73-0

MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) — It took three minutes and thirty-eight seconds for Florida Tech to allow the first points in the history of their team's defense.

It then took 20 minutes and 22 seconds for it to allow 66 more.

The Pirates of Florida Tech fought valiantly in their first game ever but were shut out by Kansas State, 73-0. The man who I said would do well did, as wide receiver Jordy Nelson caught 6 passes for 117 yards and 4 touchdowns in the Wildcats' victory.

Florida Tech's offense wasn't that bad. Compared to other dshban cupcake teams, anyways. Quarterback Kyler Mooney went 11 of 27 for 111 yards with 4 interceptions, although one of those picks was thrown with 4 seconds left in the game on a Hail Mary attempt.

McKinley Massey, the halfback, ran for 29 yards on 15 attempts - more than half of his yards coming on one rush, a 15-yarder. The two impact players on the Pirates' offense, Richard Robinson and Quinton Whitaker, combined for 4 receptions for 66 yards.

On the defensive side of the ball, it was Brian Abrams who stood out. The outside linebacker had 7 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, 2 sacks and Florida Tech's first ever interception, midway through the second quarter. Isaiah Thomas, the strong safety, had the Pirates' second ever pick a few minutes later.

One thing can be said. Well, many things can be said. But what I will say is that Florida Tech's defense put up a good fight at the start of the game. They only allowed one touchdown in the first quarter, and although the flood gates opened in the second period and 28 points were scored by K-State, the Pirates did grab two interceptions.

We tried, but the loss still occured. This shall be a regular occurence this season, I would think. Things get worse next week when the Pirates stay in Big 12 country and face Texas A&M.

Middle linebacker Patrick Valentine (right) struggles and eventually fails to stop Aggies halfback Courtney Lewis from getting into the endzone.

RESPECTABLE RESULTS
Florida Tech fails to score, but holds TAMU to 63 points in loss

COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (AP) — dshban said that halfback Courtney Lewis would be the player to watch for Texas A&M. So it shall be written, so it shall be done.

The impact halfback Lewis rushed for 150 yards and 4 touchdowns while receiver Kerry Franks had 3 receiving touchdowns (on 3 receptions) along with a punt return touchdown as Texas A&M had a win which wasn't as big as expected, 63-0.

"I'm proud of my boys," said Coach dshban. "I expected to be demolished, by more points than Kansas State beat us, at least - but then we went out and held them, if I can say that, to 63 points. Not bad, fellas."

It is true that the Aggies of Texas A&M only scored 63 points. They only scored 14 points on Florida Tech in the first quarter... and the second... and the third, and the majority of them were on short rushes, so dshban was very happy.

"If we're going to allow 63 points, I'm glad most of it came on the ground," the coach said. "The first half had a 29 yard touchdown pass by the Aggies, and then two 3 yard runs for TD's and a yard run for a touchdown. They actually had to come into the redzone to score! I'm ecstatic!"

Things did get worse in the second half, with three touchdowns with a length of over 50 yards - a 51 yard pass from QB Stephen McGee to WR Kerry Franks, a 51 yard run by HB Courtney Lewis, and a 55 yard run by true frosh HB Michael Goodson.

"I actually know that Goodson kid," said dshban. "I thought he was the starter and not Lewis. Maybe he is, maybe I'm thinking of future seasons. Actually, yeah, I remember him being on 2008 and 2009 Heisman Watch lists, or something like that. Go my memory."

The Aggies also had a 39 yard punt return touchdown by Kerry Franks, who attempted to pick up the punt, muffed it, stopped, picked it up, and then outran the Pirates' special teams to the endzone for a touchdown.

CB Stanley Tyson (left) fails to stop a Buffalo touchdown pass.
HB Chad Jackson (right) gets revenge on a Buffalo player by stabbing his arm through the players' throat. Not too sure about that strategy.

BACK TO NORMAL
Florida Tech is still season shut-out after 79-0 loss to Buffalo

BUFFALO, NY. (AP) — When you're facing Buffalo - BUFFALO - and the backups come in before the end of the first half, you know you have a problem.

Sophomore quarterback Drew Willy passed for 6 touchdowns, ran for a touchdown, and then left at the end of the first half to allow his backup Tony Paoli to pass for 3 touchdowns as Buffalo demolished Florida Tech, 79-0.

"So much for making progress after last week's loss to Texas A&M," said Coach dshban in a post-game interview. "Those bastards just kept passing the ball. They were up 69-0 and they were passing in the redzone to try and score again, which they obviously did. Fuckers."

The Pirates coach vowed revenge against the Bulls.

"Mark my words, stupid New York beat writers. (mutters) You and your stupid accents. (normal voice) I will crush Buffalo when I build up Florida Tech." At this point, laughs were heard across the conference room. "What? It's true! I can build up this team!"

"We have no doubt that you can build up this team, Coach," said a reporter. "It's just that we doubt you'll last long enough to do so."

Coach dshban simply replied, "---- you, ------."

So we know how he feels in that department.

Back to the game where... oh, screw it. What is there to say? They dominated us. Next week is the Florida Tech home opener though, as the Panthers take on Rice. We have a shot the- what am I saying, we're never going to win.

I know, that was pretty crap. Oh well, things can only get better.

Right?

well well some harsh language in the post conf. tough loss you may get A win

Yeah, the coach was a bit angry. Not angry enough to speak in the third person, as I just did, but... what point am I trying to make here? Hmm. Doesn't matter. Thanks for reading.

Coach dshban simply replied, "Fuck you, cuntie." [laugh] [laugh] [laugh] [laugh]

I can at least try and make things humorous when I lose. Hey, what can I say, I'm Australian. We say these things. :p

INJURY ALERT

FLAMINGO, FL. (AP) -- Impact player and sophomore cornerback Adrian Tyson of the Florida Tech Pirates has been injured during the Pirates' game against the Rice Owls.

Tyson suffered a broken wrist in the 2nd quarter and will be out for up to 9 weeks.

When asked for comment, Coach dshban said, "Fuck."

NOT VICTORS, BUT VALIANT
Florida Tech still hasn't scored, but they only allowed 30 points in loss

FLAMINGO, FL. (AP) — An injury to star cornerback Adrian Tyson soured what was a brilliant effort by the Pirates as they lost to Rice, 30-0, in their home opener.

Rice's strategy of running down the clock and then handing it off to impact halfback Quinton Smith for 6 yards got them the win, but also gave Florida Tech what will probably end up being their best defensive effort of the year, not counting their game against Florida A&M at the end of the season.

"I was astonished at the scoreline," said Coach dshban in a post-game interview. We allowed only 3 points in the first quarter, and only one offensive touchdown in the first half! Wooooooooo!"

Yes, the Owls only scored 3 points in the first quarter. They would have scored more if kicker Luke Juist (56 OVR) hadn't missed a 33 yard attempt at the end of the period.

"What confused me was that Juist was kicking at all," dshban said. "You have an impact punter in Jared Scruggs who is 97 OVR, and he gets to punt twice while Juist - who is worse than our kicker, amazingly - has 4 field goal attempts? Hello, logic?"

Yes, it didn't make a lot of sense, but who's complaining? I'm not, I presume you're not, and the game isn't because it can't. So there.

Both teams passed rather poorly. Florida Tech's crapness was to be expected - 62 OVR Kyler Mooney went 7 of 22 for 33 yards, with 2 interceptions. But 78 OVR Chase Clement puzzled the fans in attendance with a 7 of 16, 100 yard, 1 touchdown performance. I mean, he did rush for 19 yards, and Rice isn't exactly renowned for its passing, but what happened here?

The crap passing from the Owls becomes even more befuddling after impact CB Adrian Tyson of Florida Tech was injured in the second quarter. Tyson broke his wrist, and will be out for 9 weeks.
