I figured I'd go ahead and start this out so that we could begin to assemble a set of usable sliders.

Like I said in the other thread, I'm still learning the XBOX-style controls, so I'll wait until I get a bit more familiar with them until I start posting on nuts-and-bolts slider settings.

However, I have been trying to nail down a couple of items --- mainly time (for realistic scores) and fouling sliders.

I've played about 6 games so far, and on the default (50% ATB) foul sliders the teams have been averaging about 10 combined fouls a game. That's way too low. The NCAA average is about 31 combined fouls a game.

In the game I just played, on 17 minute halves and 60% foul sliders, the two teams combined for 11 fouls. Still too low, obviously, so I'll bump that up to about 90% for the next game and we'll see how it goes.

Regarding half times...my 14 minute games had the following scores:

57-49 (OT)
51-48
58-32
52-44

The 17-minute game I just played was 79-64, with the winning team shooting 60% and the losing team shooting 42%. That was on "Starter" difficulty, with the game speed and player speed at default.

I'm going to try another 17-minute game at All-Conference and see what I come up with.

Alright, just played another 17-minute game, this time on All-Conference. I was Gonzaga, playing at Eastern Washington.

I lost this one 88-79. Close game throughout...Raivio missed a couple of bunnies towards the end that broke my back. EWU shot 52% (34-65) and Gonzaga shot 50% (31-62).

I think the 17-minute halves may be a bit much...gonna try next time with 16.

Bumped team fouls up to 80% across the board...that seemed more realistic. Gonzaga ended up with 15 fouls (about three of those were in the closing seconds), and EWU had 11 fouls, so that's a total of 26.

I may try bumping the fouls up just slightly more...maybe 85%.

I've been finding sliders on other websites and I figured I'd share them here for discussion and usage.

Found these over on the 2KSports forum, courtesy of Gamblin79:

This is just a preliminary set of sliders and I will be adjusting them as needed throughout my Centenary coach mode legacy.

Storm those that you posted were for coach mode.

Is that what you are trying to create?

That's one area I was interested in, yes. There are others...

Here's another set of sliders from the 2kSports forum, by Ghetto Star. These are play sliders, instead of coach sliders.

MOP difficulty 20 min halfs

I usually score 55-75 points a game with varying fg%- sometimes @33% and sometimes over 50%. Averaging out to 43% using a decent mid-major. usually around 15+ 3pt attempts per team. Im a perfectionist so if you see anything wrong with my sliders please feel free to tell me. For better results set your offensive tempo to '90'.

Here is someone who used my sliders: 'm currently playing an all coach mode 20 minute halfs and my stats were way off. I've started using these sliders, except I put steal success at 25 instead of 0. It's working out really well.

thanks ghettostar, would have taken me a few days to get the sliders close to this point. You saved me a lot of work.

Remember that every one of these are set precise. Altering even one point can have negative effects on gameplay, of course once you've played and decide to change something thats your choice. Enjoy.

Right on man, I will give these a try.

If you need a tester and you are doing play sliders, let me know. I will be happy to help you out with a set.

Does anyone have a set of sliders for playing that is for 10 minute halves to get realistic scores and everything else... I mean I want realistic scores like 60's-80's but for 10 minute halves...

sliders from 2ksports forum

Here's another set of sliders from the 2kSports forum, by Ghetto Star. These are play sliders, instead of coach sliders.

these sliders are very weird. If you use them you get realistic stats, but the gameplay is dogballs.

Your CPU players foul constantly and the CPU's players never foul. The CPU defense reacts way too fast. Any team, not just the good ones. I played chatanooga, and they were playing a 2-3 zone, and everytime, I mean everytime I made a skip pass or went inside out, they were on top of it.

Also, layup ability needs to be raised greatly, not just a few points, but to about 54.

Anyway, like I said, they get good stats, but the gameplay is bad. I am working on overhauling them right now, and here are just a few things I am working on:

Lowering the CPU's off rebounding.
Raising the CPu's mid range and three point shot tendency (I played UNC, they scored 68 points in the paint, and took only five mid range shots the whole game.)
Lower the CPU's speed a couple ticks. They are noticeably faster than the human players.
kick down CPU def awareness a couple notches (like I said, even the worst teams can cover the whole floor no matter what you do)

I am going to work on these and hopefully we will have a good set of sliders that produces realistic gameplay and stats.
