So i just picked up my copy of NCAA 07 today (Xbox360) and ive only been playing around with it for an hour. Since i've only played for an hour i've only really messed around with Hawaii. So far

Pros:
*Graphics are nice, and im viewing it on a blurry TV, gonna use the HD tomorrow. Stadium looks beautiful and quite accurate.
*Roster (for Hawaii) seems at first glance to be done pretty decently and they included the players who got granted medical redshirts even though they were seniors last year, thought they might leave that one out.
*At first glance playbooks and hot routes seem to be as good or better than previous versions.
*this is nothing but i think its cool that when you pick your favorite team it has photos of the team/cheerleaders etc, nice touch.

Cons:
*Dunno if anyone noticed but does anyone here think they slacked off on the presentation? Maybe i haven't played long enough but there were no touchdown celebrations, no graphic of players running onto the field before the game, and im sure there are close ups with mascots and fans but i haven't seen them yet. Maybe i'll see stuff tomorrow but right now it seems like they cut out any presentation they had in previous years.

Overall game seems ok, i have mixed feelings, one part of me thinks its pretty good and the other thinks it was somewhat rushed. This is a very raw viewpoint though and the game will take some getting used to, usually after a week or so i get so into the game that i love it, so we'll see how it goes i guess.

I'm pretty sure this year was based on tightening the gameplay. I'm sure next year they'll add all the bells & whistles.

I agree, although I hope they don't give up on gameplay and move entirely to presentation. There are still a lot of improvements I'd like to see on gameplay... more reponsive controls, better animations, more fluid runningbacks, etc.

I'd like to see them do what ESPN 2k5 I think it was did. They would have replays at the end of the game of the key plays, Chris Berman doing a halftime show, and it was all on the current gen systems. If they can't at least duplicate that...well, it'll just confirm the fact that EA has a monopoly and is sitting on their asses.

I also missed the players running out and cut aways, but Id rather have the improved gameplay. Plus the stadium detail makes up a little for not having the run outs at the first of the game.

i heard that NC States stadium is the stadium we had LAST year and that the filling in of the north endzone that will be completed for the first game this year wasnt on the game.

All right just wanted to make sure i wasn't the only one, yea i agree gameplay is much more important and since this is the first year on 360 they are probably trying some things out but presentation definately adds a lot as well.

That used to drive me nuts. I didn't want to see the highlights, I already saw them while I was playing the game.

There are touchdown celebrations, tho not user controlled. Watch the replay area on the play call screen.

There is no graphics of players running on field, or close ups of fans, but I have seen mascot close ups (mostly while waiting for opponents to call plays online)

I think the mascots were really well done this year. I was playing at The Horseshoe and the OSU mascot was doing some crazy dance behind the field goal post for like the entire game. funniest thing I've ever seen on the game.

I do agree on the lacking presentation though. it needs something at the beginning like the current gen systems have.
