That makes me happy. Also, what does the player rating "Importance" mean? Is it calculated based on how good he is relative to your depth at that position?

I don't have a 360 but that is awesome to hear.
I can't wait to hear impressions in the following weeks about the new player ratings. They should add a TON to gameplay. Hopefully they'll add some QB some more QB ratings.

I'd have loved to have seen in on the current gen systems, but it's great to see that they've addressed this on the 360. Hopefully they'll keep it that way in the future.
Without a doubt, the inability to edit classes has been the biggest thorn in the side of anyone who has edited a roster.

Importance is a rating that has been included in past versions of Madden.
I believe at some point in time I came across the meaning of that rating to be losing that player would have a negative impact on the rest of your team, be it to free agency or injury.
I never did know exactly how it impacted the rest of your team though. Perhaps people progress slower without them? Momentum works different?
I honestly don't know, but it is along those lines.

Not to be Debby Downer, but to me editing a players class does not make up for all the features missing from the player editor. It's cool and all, but I'm very pissed that I can't edit my players in the ways I am used to. One step forward, ten steps back.

So im guessing it would kind of be a 'mentor' rating

Maybe the 360 allows class changing, but the PS2 version allows no class changing what so ever. It pisses me off for Dynasty mode seeing how Nikita Stover is not a Junior and other little things like that.

In Madden if you traded or cut a player with high IMP it would lower the morale of the other players on your team, making it much more difficult to re-sign them during the offseason. It also increased the chance you would have players demand a trade or holdout.
How it would affect NCAA....... I haven't the slightest. Perhaps if you cut a player or bench a player with high IMP it would increase the chance of other top talent transfering out of the school at the end of the year.

EA should release an article explaining the new attributes and what they mean and why they added them. Actually this should have been done before the release. I would have been pimpin' the hell out of the new ratings 'cause they are a HUGE addition to gameplay if they've implemented them right. Maybe they'll be more chatter next year if :( they add new QB ratings.
