Hey man, how is FIFA 2004? Is it considerably better than last year's game?

Are there any soccer games that are specifically geared for World Cup/International play? Like they have full qualifying and stuff... and is for the xbox? (cuz most soccer games I've seen are only for PS2 :/).

I'm trying to find a game that includes ALL (or at least MOST) of the teams and you can start from the beginning of the World Cup Qualifying. For example there are over 30 countries that compete in CONCACAF alone, but usually the only ones that I ever see in any soccer games are: USA, Canada, Mexico, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Honduras. I'd love to be able to play with/against like St. Kitts & Nevis, Aruba, Netherland Antillies, Panama, Surinam, etc. If NCAA 2004 can include around 200 teams, I don't see why they can't make a soccer game that includes all 200+ nations that are involved in the World Cup. So if anyone knows a game like that, please let me know (or if FIFA 2004 is like that, tell me)! Thanks! :D

Oh, I forgot to say: good job and getting the win and good luck with the rest of the season.

A few kids down the hall have Winning Eleven 6 for PS2 and we've been playing each other in that. Since I own an xbox I'm already at a disadvantage (because the PS2 controller is so much smaller and harder to use) but then the fact that I hadn't played many soccer games before, I've been getting my ass kicked. Anyways, I remembered that I had MLS Extratime 2002 sitting at home (that I had gotten for free with another game and hadn't ever played), so over break I brought it back up and it's basically the same type of game with same gameplay and such, so I've been playing that to practice... using my team, Norway, in Tournaments and stuff and I might start a 'dynasty' about that.

Have you tried Fifa 2002? I have it for PC, and it is the best soccer game I have ever played. It has pretty much every International team(even countries I've never heard of, lol) and you can go through World Cup Qualifying with any of them.

Last year I bought FIFA 2003, and was extremely disapointed. It seemed like they oversimplified the gameplay, and it really wasn't much fun.

Wow, really, I'm the exact opposite. I think Fifa 2002 was a lowpoint in the franchise. The gameplay was SO unrealistic. 2003 brought some realism, although it's a little to hard to sprint around people. 2004 is even better, but I don't play it a whole lot, NCAA, Madden, and NCAA Basketball 2k3 occupy most of my time (FIFA 2004 is still the best FIFA since probably World Cup 98). Man, I remember the old days, RTWC 98 and WC 98 were two of the best games ever made for their generation of games.

Well as far as gameplay goes, I though they were very similar, and maybe 2003 was better. It did have some annoying problems though, such as not being able to head the ball effectively and set pieces that didn't work at all. One thing that really disapointed me was the lack of a player/team editor and create-a-team/player, both which had been included in every Fifa game since '96. Also, the season mode left a lot to be desired, and was surely nothing like Dynasty mode in NCAA.
