I really think EA has some sort of vendetta against me.

First they refuse to give me my win over Tider (which doesn't happen all that often).

Then I have the following two experiences (not back to back)

1) FSU vs Tenn (me)
-I rack up over 400 yards of offense, and come back from a 24-14 deficit to take a 28-24 lead with 1:30 to go. But on 4 and goal from the 20, he chucks up a prayer, and it gets caught for a TD to take a 3 point lead. No problem I think, I've still got 1:30 to go, and he hasn't stopped me yet. I easily move the ball into FG range with a little over 1 min to go Cedric Houston fumbles for the THIRD TIME IN THE GAME!!!!!! and he recovers to squeak out the win.

2) Neb vs Virginia (me)
CoachOsbourne (ranked 14th) challenges me, and I can't find a decent game so I accept. This game was the biggest load of crap ever. My HB had less than 10 carries on the day, but let me give him the ball early in the third to try and throw the D off, and guess what - FUMBLE. He fumbles about 5 times on the day, mostly on bad pitches, but recovers 4 of them (often with several of my guys in the area). Matt Schaub (92 OVR QB) decides that fourth and 2 is a great time to throw a pass 5 yards out of bounds, when the WR was wide open. Still I'm tied with this guy at half at 7-7.

He gets the biggest BS run I've ever seen. I had Lord Pinned for about a 15 yard sack, but somehow he manages to run from sideline to sideline about 3 times (giving ground each trip), before he finally gets a crease, and breaks a 35 yard gainer.

Still I tie it up at 14-14. But then he takes the ensuing kickoff 103 yards to take 21-14 lead. It looks like I've tied it at 21-21 on a 6 yard TD run, but wait....HOLDING!!!!!! My WR then runs into the DB for about 5 seconds (about 15 yards downfield), and then drops a pass in the endzone on 3rd down, and again on 4th down.

But I get a stop (forcing a fumble on third down, which he recovered at the 15, making it 4th and 30), and get the ball back at the 50. 3 Drops and a sack later, and the game was over.

Man, this sh*t really needs to stop, I'm sick of losing to people who say to me "Tough luck, you outplayed me."

Yeah, I'm just venting. Actually I know that I've gotten a few breaks along the way too, so it's not all bad. And in reality there were things I did in each of those games that put me in that situation where crazy things could cause me to lose a game I probably shouldn't have.

One thing that I'm really not liking is that the games are kind of short. Usually it takes me about a series to figure out how to stop my opponent, and get an idea of what the defense is going to give me. In real life, you have so much more room to get off to slow starts, or to overcome turnovers. But in the game, I think I probably get less than 10 possessions a game (depending on the tempo of the game), and I'll have to score on at least 5 of them to have a solid chance of winning (assuming I settle for 2 FG's). If I'm down by 14 or more in the third, it's almost impossible to comeback, which is really weak considering that comebacks of that variety aren't even that uncommon.

Once again, just venting [/rant].

What about you and me Rhombic when I was up 21-0 then did the roster glitch to myself!! Oh man I was kicking myself after that one, especially since you beat me right after that. LOL. Oh well. Knew it was gonna happen.

well, if you dont want things like this to happen rhombic

i have determined that you have to play with miami

even with oklahoma, which as their str is defense.. tonigh i had probably 5 dropped interceptions, and gore would plow through my lb's tackles
and i had pasha jackson get pancaked by a miami wr
rediculous

and i couldnt run on miami at all... i even got slaughtered running hb direct snap

*alot of the highranked people play with highranked teams
ive beaten several by just playing with the same team as they do...
shows their real skill once you even the playing field

its also why i like playing the OU tourneys...
this last time everyone was OU, and we play on heisman...
so no more dropped int's... it really shows who the better player is alot of times

I feel your pain Rhombic. I am beating a Custum4Door(ranked #600 something) with a long win streak and up 17-0 in the first. He pulled the electricity on his unit. Naturally, I continued playing. Of course, when you pull the power about 50% of the time the server won't record the game and they won't get the loss and you won't get the win.

Still pissed, I play Dukeman. I literally got my ass handed to me. I have been beaten, but I haven't been beaten like that in a while. Now I am really pissed. controller flying across the room and the whole nine yards.

I am ready to go to bed and a newbie challenges me. Uses Oklahoma so I picked Miami. I had to kick someones ass before going to sleep. My offense sucked that game and I only managed a 70-14 win.

Rhombic I guess you came back at night and took out your frustration on me. What a whoopin, I couldn't get anything going and every play you seemed to hurt another one of my guys.

This is why I like this game ALOT, but do not love it the way you all do. Whenever I play someone win or lose I remember key facets of the game, what I did wrong, what coverage they ran, their offensive attack. I then go about making adjustments and an overall plan tailor made for that specific opponent. I have an overall idea of my offensive and defensive strategy's.

Everything goes fine the first half, usually I have a lead or am keeping the game real tight. Anyhow when I get big leads I tend to blow them cause my strength isn't halftime adjustments on the fly. Yes I make some and sometimes they are right and other times they are dead wrong. So I tend to lose alot of heartbreakers, or let a tight game turn to a blowout the second half. My strength is designing plans before a game since I have more time to think.

Anyhow point is when I lose I'm like "sigh, oh well time to fire up Xbox Live and go play some shooting games". Or the game I really love, which is, don't laugh, Harvest Moon back to nature! That game rocks! You can plant crops, milk cows, feed chickens and try to make your farm and house better as you get to know the village folk, anyhow its alot more fun than it sounds.

Anyhow I realized the only way I was going to reduce frustration and have fun with NCAA Football online was to simply stop looking at your W-L record. Try it and see if it helps lol.

Son of a biotz!!!! Rhombic cursed me!!!! I had one of those 5 turnover game last night against a guy I know on another website. Really, pissed me off. I can live with interceptions because I am the one throwing them, but the 3 fumbles on back to back to back possessions in the second half is BS. I am driving the field and fumble. I force 3 and out and fumble. I force a field goal and first play from scrimmage, fumble. I force 3 and out again, driving the field and, fumble. TOTAL BS!!!!
