As I mentioned before, I lost all of my original CH 2k6 files when my memory card decided to screw me over. I have since copied a friend's roster file onto a new memory card and started up a new legacy to sim through in order to get a few draft classes. However, for the first time I am having the same problem many of you have had with the legacy freezing at the coaching screen right before the offseason begins.
I know somebody figured out the source of this problem and found a solution to get past. I was just wondering if they could state what they did to make it work. I've already tried 5 or 6 times with no luck, so I doubt that repeating the same process over and over will be the answer.

I believe you have to go through the rosters and fix anybody who has no hometown and just assign them one.

That's what I thought it was too. Thanks.

Did this work for you, Whoa? Just curious in case I run into it.

Yeah, that's exactly what you have to do. There were about 10-15 guys that didn't have a hometown.

Time consuming to figure that out, eh?

Not quite as bad as you think. Maybe 30 minutes to an hour total. Considering all you're looking for is "N/A" which is so much shorter than the length of all the actual hometowns, it's very easy to notice when one pops up and allows you to fly through all of the players.

This game is a piece of shit. Anytime I start to have fun with my Legacy and everything, it feezes on the daily view screen or coaches meeting.
Guess I gotta start tracking players down and fix their hometowns.

I bought the game today and in the middle of a legacy game, during a substitution timeout, my game froze. I could hear the band still playing but everything else froze. What's going on and how can I remedy this.
Also, does anyone have the list of players I need to change the hometown info?
Thanks.

You know what, guys, I went through the roster list in the main menu, team by team, and I couldn't find a single player with "N/A" as his hometown.
