I just started a legacy with Charleston Southern and I'm playing on All - American. I know these guys ratings are not all that good with most of them being in the mid 60's. But I can't hit a shot to save my life. Especially the little gimmies. My SF will miss an open 2 footer, get his own rebound, and miss another layup. I'm also playing with the sliders tweaked up for me and down for the cpu. But right now I'm at halftime playing Clemson and their shooting 51% to my 21%.
Do I just suck at this game and need practice?
Any help?

When you notice that your team can't buy a bucket......call a timeout and do the team emphasis thingy in the timeout menu. *Shot selection*.....it helps. :D

Well I ended up improving a little bit by shooting 37% in the 2nd half. Clemson shot 45%. Ended up shooting 28% overall for the game. Still missed alot of gimmies around the basket. Oh well, I guess it may be a long season for Charleston Southern. [laugh]

Also try to move shooting up to 25% or so. It seems to help some too.

Your shooting percentages will always be worse than usual when you're facing a team that completely outclasses you (like Clemson in your case). I'd look around for some good sliders that will make your shooting numbers more realistic overall.

Alright well I just beat Marshall, 49-38. They didn't particularly shoot well which I think I held them under 40%. We shot 44%, which is by far my best offensive performance with Charleston Southern so far.

Also a nice win against a team in a power conference. Even though it was Marshall.

I had the same problem with this game, until i figured out that the layup/dunk button works even if you have your back to the basket. It allows you to shoot a hook shot that is pretty accurate. This improved my big men's shooting percentage by about 10%.

Other than that, probably a sliders issue, make them skewed your way until you get better than adjust them back again.

Thanks for the tips, guys. I think I'm getting a hang of things now. Earlier today I had a big game against Winthrop at home and I shot around 44% and got the big win.
