So why make a thread about it?
Fixed your title by the way...

It's sad to see Tiffany Jackson suffer with these freshmen.........hopefully next year will be the year! :D
Been to a few Cal games this year and I've come away impressed. We're 6-6 in conference and 14-8 overall. Our women's basketball team has traditionally been very bad, but Coach Boyle has come in and done a great job. The major problem with them is depth and experience. We only have a 7 person rotation and 4 of the starters are freshman. The other three are a senior, rs junior, and sophomore. So the future is bright for Cal women's basketball.

Not if our gals can help it. ;) OU loses 2 backups off this year's team & that it. We've got 6 juniors though, so the team will be losing a big chunk year after next, although #3 will still be hangin' around for a couple more.

The A&M program continues to get better under Coach Blair. We could make the tournament this year and our recruiting classes have gotten better each year.
Oklahoma has a really good team. The freshman that they have is AMAZING!

#2 Duke with another win, this time over VT. Despite our loss to Carolina, I still think we are going to win it all this year. If we could just figure out some way to make Ivory Latta disappear for a few months, it would be a lock. That little girl kills us every game.

Good article on one of our incoming recruits, with a slightly famous last name. Interesting take:

Couple big games tonight. #4 LSU got its first ever win in Knoxville at #5 Tennessee. Also, undefeated #1 UNC got knocked off at home in overtime by #6 Maryland.

With their 81-77 win today in OT, the Sooners have beaten the defending National Champ Baylor Lady Bears twice this season. :)

So, UNC is in the Final 4 tonight. The general buzz around campus is "nobody cares". However, I think if there's a UNC-Duke matchup in the final on Tuesday that it'll generate quite the buzz.

I must say I was very surprised by the games tonight. First, I'm shocked that Maryland was able to knock off UNC again. I thought for sure they were an almost lock for the title.
Then in the second game, I knew we had a good chance of winning after our game against UConn, but to win like we did and pretty much shut down Augustus, it has me thinking this could be the year for our women's team. If we can get production from Bales and Williams down low on Tuesday, we should be able to take it all. We need something positive for Duke right now.

The Duke win over LSU didn't surprise me, not with their great depth. I'm sorry to see Augustus go out like that, but she had an amazing career nonetheless.
And I have to say the Maryland one didn't surprise me much either. For a couple games now, it's appeared like UNC was hanging on by a thread. Latta seemed out of it after she had to be carried off with that knee injury. The whole game they just look flustered and shocked at what was happening in a game with such huge implications.
And I'll take Duke in the finals.

UCONN is the best team in women's basketball. Duke got lucky that Barbara Turner was unable to finish out the game. Duke should win the title game with their big center.

Wouldn't say they kicked our ass....they won by 8. But that doesn't really have anything to do with it. We beat them twice before that this year. But I think it'll be a close game with us edging them out late. I hope.
