EA told us that in NCAA 2006 teams in power conferences would have an advantage for recruiting, to keep the powers that be in power over the years. Is this true for CH2K6? Do the better conferences get an advantage? And what about if we alter the conferences by swapping teams? Does the conference keep its advantage if we put different teams in?

no, CH2k6 takes a different path. After about 2 years, all the coaches in basketball (except you) quit recruiting.[evil] [evil]
Seriosuly, after about 5 years when every current player graduates, every team..I mean every team from Kentucky to North Dakota Adult Learning Center have absolutely no scholarship players.
Every player on every team is a walk on (except your legacy team of course). And if you go into recruiting you will notice that the only kids with any interest at all in a college, are only interested in your school. The rest of the schools in the game just quit recruiting, and truthfully it is a gamekiller and the reason I took the game back.

Are you doing open or closed legacy? And turned off players declaring for the draft?
I have a closed legacy and turned off players leaving early for the NBA. BTW if you have at least an A in charisma you are going to have abetter shot at landing the top guys.

I have open legacy with players leaving early on, simmed more than 10 season twice and never had that problem. I would know cuz I edit all the newcomers so they wont be oversize

Most of the top players prefer to play for a big program........that's how they keep the major conferences on top..........i'm in 2011

I'm just in my 3rd year and most, if not all the top prospects have gone to the top teams. CPU still offers scholarships on my game

See the distinction is important for my dynasty, since I am making radical changes to conferences. If the conference carries the recruiting weight, then I can put inferior teams into better conferences, and they will eventually do well. But, if the teams themselves carry that weight, then wherever they are, they will still recruit well, and moving things around could produce some very interesting results.
Thanks for the info. Does anyone else have any idea on this?

I bet that it's the programs that attract the players and not the conferences. Better coaching staffs = better charisma = better recruits. Put Duke in the Ivy League and they'll still be able to get any player they want because of their team record and coaches' ratings.
