Well I finished my first season with Duke and Redick couldn't have peaked at a better time. After having a few HORRIBLE games in the early part of the season when he couldn't hit the ocean with a basketball he returned to superstar form and lit up the teams in the downstretch.
I was able to win the ACC championship and NCAA championship. My hardest games came when I played Illinois in the second round and UConn in the final four. Both of these came down to the wire. I was actually trailing UConn by 6 with 3 min to play but Redick stepped up and bailed me out. I played Alabama in the NC and it wasn't much of a contest.
So now I move onto next year.... Most of my offense came from the high/low game of Redick/Williams who are now gone. It will be very interesting to see how I do with these new players. I will pretty much have to totally revamp my offense with the loss of Sheldon's power inside dunk moves and Redick's heroic threes.
So far I think this game is awesome. I know this sounds weird, but I am hoping to NOT have great success this year and give me something to work for. I don't see how I could since my entire offensive strategy will have to be overhauled.
Hope you all enjoy this game as much as I do, The Dukies

hehehe, yeah, I have come to find that Duke is hated much as ND is hated in football. I personally love the blue devils and their program. They are the only team that I can stay interested in dynasty mode. Plus, I do not have the time to take a team from the trash to the top. It is all I could do to get through that season without my wife chopping my head off.
Now the REAL fun begins, playing with my kids...

yeah how was your recruiting class? i havent heard a lot about recruiting and would like to know stuff like... how easy it is with big programs? how good the kids are that come out of HS? any superstars from HS? what type of schools do the top kids choose (only top programs, or small too)? any info u can give me would be great

Well I am in my 3rd year at Duke and I have the absolute cream of the crop here at my school now. I recruited 5 kids each year all in the top 20 in the country.
FR don't come in with too high of a rating. The highest that I have seen so far is a 79 and I got the #1 OVR guy both years. So while I am sure there can be some 80s I have to believe that 78-81 is the upper tier.
It appears to me that the kids want to go to the big programs that need them to play first. But if you focus hard enough you can pull a superstar about 50% of the time even if he is going to sit the bench.
It appears to me that recruiting is easy enough with Duke (who I play with) that I have ruined my sliders simply because they are all so athletic and can dunk like mad.
As for shooting, I have not found anyone even close to a Redick. I am starting to think that maybe the less overall talented players that specialize in shooting might rank up there with him. Redick was a 92 in 3's when I used him, the highest I have now is an 81.... I don't expect that 81 to get any higher than 85 if he stays for his senior year.

I am guessing that is about the max... maybe 82 but that would be very, very rare. The only issue I have with recruiting is SIZE!! What in the hell is wrong with the programmers that they thought they had to turn everyone into a giant? This has legacy breaking potential IMO because of the dunk.

I have lowered every dunking slider down 2 notches for both human and cpu. This gives you 2 to 4 missed dunks per game, but IMO makes the game more realistic given the inordinate amount of dunk opportunities you get each game.
As for recruiting with a top program, I am running a legacy with Indiana and can already see that any top program will mop up in recruiting each year thanks to the underclassmen factor. I'm in the middle of my 1st season and am now focused on going after prospects that are juniors. I already have 4 or 5 guys ranking IU #1 and another 4 or 5 rank IU in their top 3. Something tells me I am going to want to start over at a smaller school because I will build up this program into a powerhouse WAY too quickly.

Yeah, it is fun to get the big dogs and mop up but it can quickly get kinda boring.... I am not sure what I am going to do with my present dynasty so I am just taking a little bit of time off. Hey Whoa, can you post your sliders here so I can give them a shot?
