Please tell me I wasn't the only one who saw that game. Morrison with the game winner against OSU...the man is a bonafide P.I.M.P.

Haven't seen the highlight yet, but saw the update that said he drained a trey to put them up 2 with 5 seconds left. It's a two man battle right now for national player of the year between him and J.J. Redick.

Give me a break, he needs to BANK in a shot to beat a young Oklahoma State team in Seattle. No doubt the man can play but its not like he's a 1 in a million type player.

Give me a break, he needs to BANK in a shot to beat a young Oklahoma State team in Seattle. No doubt the man can play but its not like he's a 1 in a million type player.
That would have been a bad loss, but they didn't have Derek Raivio. And for anyone who has watched that team play, you know they only have 3 scorers. To lose one of those guys makes them very beatable, to just about anybody. It sounds like OSU's freshman Mario Boggan had a really nice game as well.

They will do what they do ever year: Take a couple wins from solid teams, usually one loss though, stay in the top ten because they will cruise through their conference, then they fall flat on their asses tourny time.

Numerous pushes, shoves that were not called, but let us breathe on Morrison and he trotted to the free throw line. 15 attempts. Bautista was allowed to beast us, hook us, push us, but let us body up and we get called for a foul.
Gonzga was in the double bonus with over 12 minutes to go in the half, while they picked up their 7th foul with 43 seconds left.

I started a thread about this at the start of the season. Every year some writer says this is the year for the Zags to reach the Final Four. Well they certainly have the weapons this year to make a run like that, but they don't defend anybody. You can't make a deep run without defending anybody. And sure, they play a lot of great teams early in the year, but then they don't play anybody in their conference leading up to the Big Dance. That drop in competition definitely comes back to haunt them when they must jump back up to that top level of comp in the tourney.

no way, i hate Reddick as much as the next guy, but the man can straight up ball. and he steps it up for big games (41 against Tejas today) and some of the shots he hits[wow]. he has probably the most fundamental catch and shoot shot that i've seen in a while.

Nope not at all.... after the game i was pissed at the horrible officiating. Even the Gonzaga fans knew it. The announcers knew it. The refs kept the Zags in the game. I'm not one to talk about officiating. But there were SEVERAL horrible no-calls/calls that really screwed us. The "goaltending", the 5th foul on Eaton, the no-call on the charge against Morrison are ones that stand out the most.
If you don't believe me, check out this link from the Gonzaga board where they acknowledge a Brokeback Mountain was in effect. The Cowboys got screwed.

I'll be honest, I don't watch basketball and I'm watching Zaga whenever its on. He might not be able to play much defense, but he can shoot the fucking lights out. I've seen him single handedly win 3 games for them. I won't comment on the OSU game because I didn't see it. But this kid is very exciting to watch.

i'm a fan of the wcc, st marys is also going to be good. should be a challenge for the zags.
I'm a big fan of the WCC, for sure the most underrated conference in the country. Last year you had Santa Clara raping UNC, Gonzaga being Gonzaga, a very good St. Marys team, Pepperdine knocked off a couple of teams and USF was a good team.
St. Marys is not that nearly as good as they were last year. However, Daniel Kickert is going to give Morrison a run for his money for WCC POY.
USF added a couple of studs, a transfer from Miami-FL and a local guy who I did radio for. This guy is unreal, he was the California Athlete of the year, POY in Football and Basketball 2 years in a row and 1st Team All-League in baseball. He scored 10 last game and has as good a jumper as you will ever see and shoots like 95% from the line.
Santa Clara is always pretty good, Dick Davey is a very good coach. Portland/USD are pretty bad, SJSU beat up on both of them pretty easily. Pepperdine is decent.

It was also very early in the season and Carolina had a huge ego at the time (SI cover, everyone's Nat'l champ pick).
