Shagari Bojang out of Memphis, TN

He is 7'1 230 lbs and plays SHOOTING FORWARD

I played with him in one of the camps and pretty much all you have to do to score is hit aggresive and go towards the goal for a monster dunk over somebody.

I think you mean Small Forward. Anyways, how are the camps set up? I haven't bothered to check out that far into the Legacy mode.

No, he is pretty quick. I ended up trying my best to recruit him but he ended up at ND.

...and yes I meant small forward.

The camps are set up like a regular basketball camp. You have games and then you have drills. A lot of the drills are fun to play and let you see how good of a player you have. I usually just sim it all and then play a few minutes in the all-star game at the end.
I havent really messed with it too much but it seems to me that it is exactly like the H.S. games that you can play in with some added drills.

So when you want to recruit someone you just go to the menu for that player and a camp is an option? Because I have yet to do a recruit camp.

No, its like a regular basketball camp like ABCD. At the end of the season you will get to pick between three camps. Then you can play with the guys at that are attending that camp. You can only go to one camp.

Do you get to see what players will be at that certain camp, so you know which and where the guys that are interested in your school are?

Yes, you get the recruit menu at the lower portion of the screen plus how interested they are in your school.

Damn, that recruit is a FREAK!!!! There must be some bug in the SFs this year because I have noticed that their heights are all over the place. It is bad enough that the C and PF are bigger than the entire NBA but to have small fowards range so greatly stinks IMO.

Because of the natural ability of the position itself: (example a fast PG will be faster than a fast SG and a fast SF will be faster than a fast PF) you can really cheat the game this year and get an all SF front lineup. You will be much faster than the CPU who is trying to defend you and just JAM central on them. 6'10" SFs are falling off trees this year. It is a shame because at first I liked the change position option but now I am going to avoid it because I don't want to exploit this great weakness in the game.

I think the greatest team this year versus the CPU would consist of 2 large SGs and 3 HUGE SFs, very easy to recruit with a big school within 3 years and never lose again. You could theoretically have all of them with 85+ in both dunks and 3pointers... impossible to stop.

This is true, but I still recruit in a conventional way. I want my PG to be under 6'2" and quick as hell. I want my wings to be 6'3"-6'6" that are athletic and can shoot the lights out. If there's that one really special player that doesn't fit the mold, then sure I'll go after him. But overall I'm not interested in those Euro-style 6'10" shooters.

Yeah, I recruit conventionally too... at least I am in my first year with Duke. I was able to sign up an unbelievable class in the pre-season alone. Anything else that I get will be pure gravy.

I can't wait for next year to play with these guys! I will really, really miss Redick and Sheldon (I think) pending on what these guys are capable of as freshmen. Sheldon is awesome at the drop-step dunk move and Redick is my answer against the zone and man-double teams.

Who doesn't love the dukies besides UNC fans?

You know what else I really like about Coach K, he seems to be one of the FEW that recruits only CLASS. I REALLY APPRECIATE that as a fan.

haha Just about everyone hates Duke basketball. They're like the Yankees of college basketball. It's more because of the fans than because of the team. I have tremendous respect for Coach K and his program, but I don't like them.

I hate Duke. K has a little ratface and with the talent they have they shouldn't have to win on fucking half court shots and totally demoralize a great effort by the Hokies.

Oh, and K's teams get away with so many fouls it's crazy. I don't know how many times I've said bullshit in one game vs. Duke.

ROFLMAO.... all you guys hate Duke? How in the heck can that be? I guess they are the ND of basketball. When you sit there and watch a team have that much success I guess they naturally draw jealousy and hatred for their program.

If you can't beat them, hate them and call them cheaters.

For real though, no matter how much you "hate them" you have to admire Coach K and his clean program and fine men he has run through there.

I don't hate them for their success. I hate them because they're on tv ALL THE TIME! Seriously. They play St. Mary of our Saints Women's College and it's on ABC. Who gives a shit?

I respect Coach K for what he does and being good at it, but as a Kentucky fan, I'll never like Duke since you-know-who hit that shot against us in '92. It's against my entire being to like them.

Getting back to the recruit...

I thought that in last years game there were WAY too many tall players... A 7'1" SF!!!! I mean come on. If your over 7 feet you are most definetly gonna be one of the best players in the country just because of your height. There are very very few players over 7 feet that arent centers... especially coming out of highschool.

This is a bit unrealistic in my mind and i think it should be fixed.

I definitely agree with this. It sounds like they did a better job this year of making sure not every freshman coming into your program is rated above 80 overall. Sounds like most of the top guys are in the 75-77 range with a select few at 80 or above. This makes scouting more important since you don't want to end up with a bust. But now the next biggest issue is this height/weight issue. I see SFs and PFs that are bigger than Centers. I can recruit a 6'8" 245 lb SF or a 6'10" 220 lb C? How does that make any sense?

I also HATE Duke. For many reasons...

..but on subject... Is this in MM or CH?? Thats a pretty crazy recruit, but I dont think i'd ever get him, or want to get him, b/c Im also another one who likes to "ceonventionally" recruit.

However this does remind me of a time in NCAA College Basketball 2K3 I was in a legacy with Xavier, and after my 4th season I was recruiting and came across a 7'8" center from Minnesotta. Boakia Slater. The thing is he was only ONE star. If you're 7'8, you're automatically 5 stars b/c your 7'8 in college. So what I did was edited my roster and took stat points AWAY from some of my bench guys so I could build him up to around 80 overall. Craziest recruit I've ever seen on a game.

Hahahaha, 7'8"...if he was 1-star, he'd have to be missing an arm or something.

I did recruit a couple 7'3" and 7'4" guys in past CH editions and they are DOMINANT on the boards. My 7'4" freshman for New Hampshire averaged about 16 rebs/game.

Yeah...whatever. And no, I'm not jealous, especially since NCSU has won 2 of the last 3 at NCSU against Duke. Duke gets away with a lot of fouls due to their great reputation for man-to-man defense. Coach K has actually ran a pretty clean program, but I do remember JJ's freshman year when he allegedly smoked some pot and nothing was done about it.

Not to mention people like you, who probably have not even taken a step on the Duke campus, cheer them on makes them so easy to hate.
