I've decided to try something new with my personnel- a set numbering scheme... I do this because I don't know my players well enough to associate # with name. Also, I'm not always sure what substitutions are being made when I use the "package" button at the formation selection screen. So I just assigned blocks of numbers to certain positions, and numbered the players within the blocks according to OVR rating. For example, 1-7 is reserved for my CBs, so if I pick nickel and see #'s 2, 4, and 5 on the field, I will know they're all actually CBs, but my 1st and 3rd-stringer is tired for some reason, so I might go to 3-4 or something. My WR's are 91-99, so when I have several of them on the field, I can easily tell which one is the best, second-best, and so on, so that I know which package to use for the route I want to run.
Anyways, it has made things a little easier (especially with things like telling my TE's and WR's apart, or knowing if my linebacker is a MLB, LOLB, or ROLB) for me. Just wondering if anyone esle does anything like this with their numbering systems?
