Hazing to a certain degree is cool, but I disagree with forcing teammates to drink a shitload of alcohol or consume illegal substances. Make them put the goals away after practice or make them run extra laps, etc. This shit is stupid.

Lacrosse players drink, it is just what they do. I see no problem making them drink or do some drugs. Hell, we were the Grass Knights when I was at SMC for a reason, and it wasn't for our prowess on loose balls.

Don't get me wrong, widesweeping generalizations that are unfounded are fun and all...but let's be rational. Not all lax players do the things you did. Nor do all football players or baseball players.

It is that way at virtually every NCAA school, and much more so at the Club schools like Marquette. It is part of the culture, and always will be. It isn't an unfounded widesweeping generalization when it is true.

I agree with snafu here...if you want to make someone "tough" do it on the practice field, don't do it by forcing someone to consume alcohol basically against their will.

Wow giving the death penalty to a club team. Club team's are voluntary if you didn't like the hazing you could just leave and not play. It wasn't like anyone was forcing them to be there.

Yeah but it's a different situation than say an actual division 1 lacrosse school where a kid is there on scholarship and feels pressured into being hazed in order to be able to play there.

The pictures show young men partying inside and outside a house with a sign that reads Marquette Lacrosse. Many of the men are dressed in nothing but thongs and tennis shoes. The photos capture them lined up with their faces against a wall and bent over with their hands held up to their bottoms. Other pictures show thonged men mingling among male and female party-goers who are clothed. In one photo, clothed students are drinking out of what appears to be a beer bong.
