Someone always writes this same story every year with the exact same headline: Gonzaga has all the pieces to make its Final Four run (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/writers/seth_davis/11/11/gonzaga.diary/index.html)
Why does everyone still keeping saying this? Clearly come tourney time they struggle with stopping the quicker, more athletic teams. They don't have enough players that can create shots off the dribble. Sure, they're a top 20 team every year now, which is very impressive, but quit saying they're destined for the Final Four run each season when they continually come up short.

But one year they are going to do it, and its going to be great.

Yeah, one year they're bound to make it, and I guess every college hoops writer in the country wants to be the guy that called it during the preseason.
But then again, other great coaches like John Chaney and Bob Huggins never reached the Final Four.

Yeah I don't think they'll make it this year, although they do have a solid team with some gifted scorers.
Adam Morrison is a still a stud though. He has a chance to be 1st Team All-American.

I saw Ravio play in a tourney at UO once...he was great. He called for the Zags to make the title game last year or the year before, too. Seth Davis...meh.

Didnt Cincinnati make the final 4 in the early 90s?

Yeah, when Nick Van Exel was there.

Damn, forgot about when Nick the Quick was there. I was thinking about the late 90s and early 00s when every year was supposed to be Cincy's year to make a run when instead they always got knocked out in the 2nd round.

Adam Morrison is the best single player Gonzaga has ever had during this 10 year run.. If they go to the FF it'll be because of him.

Dickau was better and put Gonzaga on the map, while Morrison was this major recruit that hasn't done shit during March, but I can't hate the porn stache.

Maryland is going to fuck them up tomorrow. I can feel it. We go 9 deep and our leading scorer comes off the bench. Wear 'em down in the first, fuck 'em up in the second!

Gonzaga, Final Four, this is the year. Due to the fact that Bautista is big and phyiscal, Mallon cleans up around the hoop, Ravio is just plane insane, Errol Knight is one of the best athletes in the west, and finally Adam Morrison, 'nuff said.

So the starting 5 plays all 40 minutes? They don't have depth and depth is a necessity in the college game, especially in the tourney.

Zagz are my favorite team and I think they'll at least make it to the sweet sixteen.

As do I. Possibly the Elite Eight. But I really, really can't see them making the Final Four.

Their depth certainly is lacking, but their starting five accumulate for quite a bit. Don't tell me you never seen a successful team without depth, if you havn't then surely you need to rethink your post.

Of course I have. See Duke last year. They had zero depth but still played well. With that said, I am not THAT impressed by their starting 5. That is all.
